slow down please

Have been racing for the last couple of weeks from 5-10km. Pace went up for the shorter distance. Need to slow down the pace for the longer distance. If not, gonna get burned...ouuch.....

One thing i like about training alone, is that you set your own agenda, you either stick to it, or change it according to the environment or just threw everything out and sit by the side and slack.

Today left office early and was thinking...very good i have more time for training...alas i make a wrong turned on the route(along Jurong Town Hall Rd) to Clementi Stadium. Ended up on a congested AYE. I can make a few turns somewhere and still get to Clementi Stadium, but i find it too tedious. So i decided to head towards Seragoon Stadium as i believe should have time to go back home for a bath and pick up pheck leng later.

The stadium still the same as i last visited it(at least 6months back). The running folks are still around the same. Quite a fair bit of runners around today. I put on my HRM for the first time for more than a month, since the battery went flat. Too lazy and no opportunity to get hold of the battery, what to do. Okay let do a warmup first and see how it goes. HR is around 150-160, which is typically, but somehow i feeling abit breathless. I went through 10 rounds on Lane 6 for 23:45. Average HR is around 156.

Today shall not do speed works, i need to relearn how to slow down - run slow and constantly & go for distance. 10 laps to get use to? Still require a bit getting use to, but managed to keep HR in 140-150 for another 8 rounds. The pace is comfortable. The last 2 rounds, cannot take it leow and chiong it. haha....

Alamak HR shot up very high and refuse to come down. One of those day again. Have to be careful or else gonna die of heart attack one day.
