Vertical Training



This year Vertical Marathon will be held at Raffles City on 6th Nov 05.

I have signed up for it. That is 73 stories, 1336 steps. Have i overstep the line? I heard it only takes slightly more than 10 mins ++ for the event. I should be okay lah...how tough can it be? Well Sunday i just have a feel of what it is suppose to be? Toa Payoh 40 stories HDB flat. Might not be the same, anyway better than nothing at all right?

Sunday at 8am, i have reach Toa Payoh Blk 145 carpark. Met Tiwazz & we start our warm up. Tiwazz had complete a few Vertical Marathon before, there he has the experienced. Great to have senior giving tips. I expected to do 2 set of 40 stories until i heard Tiwazz mention about 4 sets. OMG, is he kidding me. I go first, gingerly trying to get a feel of it. First set finish at 5:25mins. Only the lower calf muscle is taxed, plus the heartrate pump pretty fast, the rest seems fine. It wasnt that difficult as i assume it is. 2nd set went the same way as the first, this time round finish at 5:21mins - getting to the hang of things. 3rd set still pretty decent around 5:20mins. Last round, yahoo...have to endure abit lah...at least must finish 4 sets. Last set finished at 5:18mins. Hmm...how come i am doing better each round, even though i am suppose to get tired. Something have done must be keeping me up and running in good stead. The run/bike or gym session? Image hosted by Photobucket.com
