It is 37 degrees F this morning when i reached back to the hotel after the run.

I have not do any exercise since arrived on Wendesday. Thursday wanted to do a run in the morning, cold and wet weather put it off as i feel i need abit more time to acclimatize.

Instead this morning, rain or shine i am going for a run. From Penn Station, the intention is to run straight North towards Central Park, which is about 2-3km away. Do a mini loop if possible inside the Central Park and head back to base within an hour.

It was cold this morning when i started off at 6am with some winds making the acclimatization challenging. I wear my normal running short/tee and put on additional running track pant, windbreaker(with hood) and glove to combat the weather.

The scene at the early wee of the morning is always a good sighting for me where everybody goes "nake". What i mean is that the hustle of the daily life is no longer there, the pretention of how grand the place is at its peak is no longer available, whereas the normal folks going around cleaning up the mess is all i felt. I felt a touch of connection between them where they tells the other side of the area i visited.

I took me around 15mins to reach Central Park and there are many runners doing their runs in preparation for the coming marathon. Many International runners are presence. Some doing sub 4min pace, whereas most are on 5-5:30min pace. A few folks like myself are slowly crawling behind.

I decided to run inside the park(East) and i stop dead when i reach "ideally" midpoint of the park at 30mins flat. I decided to run cross the park to the other side(west) and make a loop back to the start of the central park run before heading straight back to Penn Station. Things got messy and i got disorientated inside. I couldn't believe it that i make a mess of today run.

I believe i took the right turn and exited through the wrong gate inside central park and get myself disorientated. I didn't panic as i know i shouldn't be too far off and i can take a closer look at some of the neighbour as well. Anyway, i have $20 on myself to take cab, if it get worsen. I twist and turns, looking at big building trying to locate 1) 7th Avenue, 2) and Empire State Building. It did get worst before it get better finally when i reach 7th Avenue and headed back to Penn Hotel in 1:30hrs.

I overun today !!! Should i do the friendship run tomorrow?
