Tigger show - I
It was suppose to be a solo LSD this morning. The plan is to wake up at 4am and start the run at 5am. Target 3:30-4hr run.
I am having sort throat & a long struggle with Zee monster overnight. By the time the alarm clock went off, i was in bad shape. Apart from the throat, i feel my body is aching. A sign of getting sick. Decide to call off the run and rest.
Finally crawl up at 5:30am, feeling slight better and decide to go as schedule and do a shorter run maybe 19km.
Start the run at 6:3o am kallang river with my fuel belt and trusting MP3. Proceed to Esplanade and Marina. Body don't see to behave itself. My pace was okay, but somehow i feel abit chuan. I was in 2 mind to U-Turn at Tanjong Pagar MRT. Keep telling myself at least do the minimum 19km since i have the time.
I can feel the draining of my energy as i proceed & decide to make a U-Turn at the junction between Jetty and the golf club in Marina. Time check is 52 mins, which i believe should be somewhere half way point of 7.5km.
H2O isotonic drink from the fuel belt bottle taste bitter. Damn it. Seriously something is telling me i have to aware of my body condition. I adopt run/walk back, even though i know i can still run, but i do not want to take a risk. My spin ache! I do not know, like my body too heavy for it to support or maybe i running at an incline and causes it. Reach Tanjong Pagar and proceed to get a cold can of 100 Plus. Damn it, it is bitter as well! Have sort of a stitch after the can of drink.
The "engine" like ON/OFF, sometime feel good, other time suck. After reaching Esplanade area, manage to pick up the pace and cruise back, i guess in 5:30 pace for the last 2-3km. Completed the run in 1:45 hr, which indicate a 53 min for the return leg.
Saw someone familiar along the way back to Kallang..:p
Wash up, have light breakfast and wait for part 2.
