4 x 30s
Never have i imagine i can do 4 sets of 30k over consecutive weekend! I have struggle to do 3 sets in a row on few occasions prior to it. It feel good accomplish the distance intended, despite all the abrasions and muscle ache that associate with the distance! keke. Not tough, no shiok right?
I am not abusing the body! I am training my body to adapt to these long distance week in week out! There is a thin line between training and abusing. I am pushing up the mileage gradually. It takes me a few years to be able to do 30k in such regular manners. Don't do this if you are new to long distance running!
Pick up tookia, tookua and arrived in ECP before 5 am. Intend is to start at 5am, but dilly dally, we started off at 5:11 am. We are targeting to complete 32km this morning. We are also prepared to run faster than last week as it is abit too slow for everybody.
The weather was much Windy than last week. We started off in pretty good spirit. I felt sleepy throughout the first 1 set of 16km. I am running in my sleep - closed my eyes and run. Anyway ECP is very flat and straight. We didn't communicate much in this run, because Me(which talk the most) is sleeping!!! Can't talk during sleep right? Furthermore i am setting the pace for the run as well. Can't talk that much...suppose to be slight chuan right?
On the way back from 1 set, in the dawn of the morning, still slightly dark, i can see the waves coming in hitting the shore. It is very nice. I was awoke! How i wish i can just stop at the spot and indulge in the scene at the moment. Alas, it is touch and go matter. :(
1st set complete with a better timing around 10 mins compare to last week! We are slacking BIG TIME last week. Haha....
We took a break, replenish, gear up MP3 and proceed with 2nd set.
It was a good run. It took me 10 mins lesser for the first part of 2nd set! Hehe...i have been slacking..... MP3 die on me during 2nd set! I misplace the coins and didn't sufficient $ to purchase additional COLD 100 plus. It was a tough run on the way back as the motivation is low and the sun have came up brazing! Damnit.
It took me 5 mins more for the return leg. Overall i am 15 mins faster than 1st set. As usual it show how slack i am during the first set!
It was a good 32km run. I am glad everyone completed the intended distance. Well done. Next stop Penang Marathon.
