Last LSD
Last LSD before D-Day. A short 16km in ECP this morning starting at 7am. Unfortunately due to various folks being late, we started our run at 7:25am. We have Too Tao, Too Buay, Too Noun, Babyboy Too, CCF, Cosmic and Lynn for the LSD run.
This is suppose to be a race pace run to get our engine warm up for the event. Plus the late start to let us get use to the heat on actual day with race pace.
A lot of folks running today and a lot of familiar faces throughout the run. It is kind of fun to see everyone out there do their last bit of preparation workouts. So many greetings and high fly acknowledgement along the way. I even get a nod from someone(which i am surprise). I was a bit embarrassed when those pacer keep teasing me with my upcoming Busselton trip. Notti Boys! Hehe, thanks guys for the encourage, i am sure i will enjoy as much as you'll are enjoying SCSM 07
We started off in good control pace towards sailing club from ford road(B1). After the first toilet break for me, the rest are long gone(they skip the break). I didn't catch up with them as i tell myself to control my pace. I reach sailing club at 51 min+ for another tactical halt. Left for the return late around 54 min+ with the front group(CCF, babyboy, YF) which waited for me.
It was a good control pace back to B1 from there. Include another water break at Lagoon, total time is 1:44 hr for 16km. Average pace is around 6:15min/km according to babyboy Polar.
I think it is good run with the objective achieved.
All went for a lunch except Too Buay at Kovan. We have wantan mee. Yummy. It is still as good as i last remember. Receive a lovely gift babytoo. Thanks Gal!
Head over to SCSM 07 to pick up the bib. It was a breeze ! Heng, not those 1-2 hours kind of queue. Just a couple of mins and i am through! Spent a bit more time at the expo and as expected brought a few things at the expo. Sigh....no $ already and still like that!
I have SIN again at the expo. Do not know what is going to happen in the future, but i am not taking the risk anyway. Let fate decided.
