A Step Ahead.....
After the weekend event…first TRI event for some of my regular kaki….It is good to see them taking the “plunge”…even though a short version. I am glad that they finally decide to step out of the comfort zone.
On reflection, I look at myself. I am just A Step Ahead. Doing Tri is more on trying out something new and mixing it up. Running has setup a base for me. After so much running, it was time to do something different and create a more balanced workout. So Tri become a natural “flow”. Mechiam like water flowing down the long kang….eventually will leads to stream, river and sea.
I have completed 4 Tri events so far. I still don’t feel like someone that do Tri. I don’t know why. Maybe I am not that keen on the event. It doesn’t mean I completed IM, I must like Tri. Or I must be Tri freak, that is why I done an IM.
Looking back, I still remember Aviva 07. Buay and Kia signed up for it on SCSM 06 race expo, making a whole fuss about the event. How tough and expensive the event!!! I was thinking to myself. Yeah lah…since signed up for it, just do it then. Why KPKB so much and worry about so many things.
How tough can it be if you train enough? Sigh…A bit sianz to hear all those talks about it….so just signed up and see how tough it can be! It wasn’t that tough, despite having Desaru HIM and SBR for the last 2 weeks ago! After that another 2 IM follows, because HIM to me is just a typical weekend workout. Not really that challenging to me in term of physically.
Now that the lights are fading on myself. I am glad that my attitude or rather bulldozer(to some) way of signing up for events are a blessing in disguise. If I have not signed up those, I will be feeling so regret now.
That goes on the same principal or approach in life. Do what you want while you are “young” or while you can still do it. Time and opportunity waits for no man.
If you want to sign up for an event, just do it, no need to worry about how tough or challenging the obstacle lies ahead. You might not have a second chance if you procrastinate! If you want to have babies, just have it, why worry about not able to afford a decent living condition for the child! I just don’t understand why human have so much reservation about their ability? $100 can feed 1 person and can be used to feed 10 persons. Life still goes on whether you are feeding 10 or 1 person with $100.
I am fortunate to be A Step Ahead. Are You?
