BSKL

Am i being too overconfidence and didn't put enough training for the swim event this weekend?

Maybe so, given the way i swam this morning. Sigh.

No matter, finishing isn't a problem. Just how much water "intake" could be subjective to conditions. Haha.

It was a bit tiring as i had a late night. It has been quite some time that i sleep so late. I was watching "wolf*****" downloaded a few days back :)

Arms are abit tired but that doesn't mean anything when i jump into the warm water this morning.

Off i went for a 2.5km swim. I didn't feel comfortable. It is not tiring, maybe abit chuan. Tried to take it easy as it is a long swim. Someone didn't feel like it slow down tremendously.

Pacer uncle didn't overtake me, as i try to use him as a guide.

Left ankle abit of sensation, i hope it is nothing serious.

Engine looks like struggling abit, but still doing fine as a whole. Complete the swim in 67mins. Not a fast timing in any sense. Just wanna get the distance done with and prepare for the weekend swim.

I think i used a bit of effort, as no appetite for breakfast. Just wanna isotonic drink. Sigh..not enough coins....damn.

Time to rethink about the strategy of the swim......

There is alot of talk about in a tri event. Why must use freestyle instead of breast...

Few of the major pointers favour the front crawler.

1) Faster stroke
2) Save the legs for the run later

I have been using breast stroke for all my tri events(ok, only 4 of them) and don't feel that it make a difference in saving the legs. NONE!

On the other way of looking at thing...

We have been running all these while, our legs are condition to take long period of "abusing". The muscle condition are good. If we use the same muscle for swim, isn't it easy for runner to adapt rather than using upper body(which is "unused" muscle for runner?).

To most runners, the most important is to survive the swim! Not worry about cycling and running later! Who cares if i use front crawl as long as "survive" the swim within the cuttoff time and be comfortable about it!

As long as you passed your "driving test", is it really important that you use a shortest route to reach your destination?
