First Horticulture Run

We are at SP stadium this morning just like 7 days back. I hope i don't end up like last week.

Schedule for 28km this morning. Don't know can take it or not. But i will try.

Feeling much better when we reach vigilante. Ran up half way and start the walk. I think it sums up my fitness currently. Took a longer break at "tank" to discuss on the change in route, since a few wanted to do a shorter run.

Zhilei, Woon Ho and myself proceed further while the rest U-turn. Skipping Labrador park, we head up MF via Morse road. I manage to run up non-stop till the top. Phew! That is more like it. Meet up with Long Zhu doing her ninja on MF. Surprise that we meet two days in a row!

We decide to try out the horticulture link that cross over from MF, Telok Blangah, Alexander to Kent Ridge. It was my first time through the link and we ran most of the way except for some area to take in the view. It is very nice if we are there for the sole purpose of leisure viewing.

The part behind HP(Alexander) has a beautiful garden(same as Botanic Garden) but on a smaller scale. That is very beautiful. We stopped to watch a big bee(hornet?) picking up the nectar from the flower. It flies and squeeze into the flower for a few seconds and process to look for another flower. It is amazing to catch such scene in close view. I should go back again with Enver one day.

The run or rather walk up Kent Ridge is demoralising. Wow, got hit by the meandering road upslope is bad. Out of nowhere(without familiar with the route) and hit straight in your face. Very bad for morale!

We get back to the "tank" for the 2nd time. By then, guess nobody has the interest to proceed to PGP. :p

We take the path towards NUH and head back to SP.

Along NUS stadium, saw DR William tan doing his charity bike on the track with quite a handful students running beside him. We went down to the track and cheer them for a brieft moment.

It was a tiring run for me. Finally reached SP. Phew! 21.7km in 3:13hr.

Can feel the body is feeling much stronger to last week. But still a distance back to normal fitness. Hopefully next weekend Pacesetter will be much better.

Yesterday pick up Mizuno Wave Rider 12. This morning tested it out. Feel abit short on the ankle(felt like dropping off), as a whole still okay...let see how it goes.
