Saturday Run
Another Saturday, another unknown.
Still feeling okay when we reached MR carpark, 15km later. I have to be conservative in my approach.
Saw quite a few familiar faces at the toilet area and spent some time resting and getting ready for the return leg.
I was still feeling decent when we reached ranger station. 4 of us(intend to do longer distance) started first towards MR.
Though i am abit tired, but nothing i am not use to. 4 of us running closely together.
At catchment path up towards the summit, i am still feeling okay. Just walking up the slope should be a simple task. I was wrong.
Something just snap inside in while we climb up the slope. I seldom feel this, but it just happened. Breathing is fine, HR is fine. Just a sudden surge of emptiness in the "fuel tank". I am just tired or maybe exhausted. Strange.
I signal for the group to proceed without me as i rest on the edge. Very strange, slowly i climb to the surface. Saw a bench and just sat on it. I can feel the lights frizzling out on me. This is bad.
I took a rest longer than necessary and do a slow walk down towards the BT visitor centre. I am even tempted to take a sit at the hut on the way downwards! What the hell had happened here? Why am i taking a slow stroll(downslope) and felt the urge to take a sit!
I didn't stop and proceed to visitor center, and rest(or rather stone) at the bench. I waited for the 3 folks to come down before we departed towards NP.
They ran, i took a short cut. By the time i reached NP, felt so much better.
Total distance around 28km.
