Jog Log 16 July 05

It was a low mileage week for me. In fact, can't remember when was the last time i have those 60-80km week anymore. Anyway it is okay....giving myself full of excuses again....;)

After blood donation, it is expected that the body will feel weak. Physically i feel okay, but quite a feel people come to myself and tell me, "u look tired". Maybe it is bcos i dont have enough sleep i guess. Sigh......

Let see apart from the gym sessions, i hit the track once and one long run today....hehe....

1 x 4km, 2 x 1.2km and 1 x 800m....enough leow lah...body tired....don't really want to push too much just a few days after the blood was drawn.....

Today went jogging with Francis, Simon at Kallang-Esplande. It was drizzle, stop, drizzle early morning, we reach the place around 6:10am after Francis pick me and Simon up. Long story why i did not drive to Kallang instead.

Today aim is to run nonstop for 2 hours for Francis as he trained for Sheares Bridge Half Marathon, with Decemeber Full Marathon the Goal. Simon is to run 8-10km non stop to get himself ready for the New Balance Real Run. My aim is to follow them and have a relax run, dont push myself and complete 18km in 2 hrs.

It was dark and the road is wet. We troop off towards Esplande. We ran together slowly and make the 8km loop in 57mins+. I know it is slow, but it is okay, as today is Simon first time running in this area with us, we need to show him the route. Simon drop off as expected as he is not ready for longer distance yet, he complains that his leg hurt too. Francis and myself push ourself forward. Francis told me he wanted to push for 20km today if possible, i feedback, even though at 8km stage you are feeling good, but when you make the loop back, your body will tell you otherwise, just keep to 16km for now will do. Anyway see how the body go....;)

We split up and i run slightly faster in front. It was a dark and wet day, no sun nothing....wanted to show Simon the raising sun along the return 8km route which is good, but unfortunately cant do it today. On the return leg, saw a group of ladies runners(last week saw them), do workout by the roadside, some are beautiful, damn good lah...morning got something nice to see....hehe....when i run past their place, they decided to run with ME...i think.....hehe.... as i run, they give chase and 2 of them almost catch up with me. Wah pah....damn jialat kena chase by ladies....so bo pian and have to up the tempo. Lucky they give up and slow down after a few hundreds metres, by then my engine have gone up another gear and doesnt want to slow down......no choice i push on, finished the 2nd 8km route and run for another 2km(1km return) to make it 18km in 2:03hrs. that means first 8km is 57mins, next 10km is 66 mins.

Francis finished 16km. His lung is willing, but his legs weren't. Nevermind lah, we life to fight for another day...;)

I want to do a relax run and kena spolit by these ladies....sob sob....next time i shall stare at them a few more times when i get the chance to see those mei nui......hehe....
