Clementi Night Off
After work go over to Clementi Stadium for a run. Let see....2km warm up...5x800 circuits with 200 walk/jog in between. It was okay. Didnt really push too hard....slack lah...haha....
While doing the 4th cycle, 1 of the light went off around 8:05pm, guess the stadium attendant use that to signal to the runners, the stadium to be "light off" soon. My mind immediately went back to Gombak experience. I was cursing silently. I am not going to care and finish my last cycle, even though the lights went off. I finished the last cycle and even went 2 rounds to warm down.
Silent went off at 8:22pm and a few more lights went off. But there is still lights around while some runners finished their run. 8:30pm and the lights still there...Cool...the Stadium Attendant is sticking to the schedule. At 8:33pm, the lights are off.
Even though Clementi stadium looks old and aged, but nevertheless i enjoy running there with other intangible benefits..
Yes, i read about Andrea mishap in the Real Run. Poor gal, she survived to fight for another day. I share the thread with Simon and he told me he "saw" her pengsan at the sand portion on that day, but didnt realised who is that? Wish her quick recovery and lace up the shoe and let go for the next run.
Today at Clementi Stadium there is a soccer player also pengsan. I think he should be okay. There are Medical support there, as it looks like "under 18" national team playing there. As usual there will be MO attached while the team trained. Ambulance came over and bring the kid out.
For those out there, please be careful. Dont push too hard and always listen to the body. We dont need another case of runner taking a short cut to pay "jesus" a long term visit.
