Post SB/AHM

It has been a few days after AHM. My body feel okay, the usual leg abit heavy at times just like a typical day. I guess didnt push too hard on AHM, that is why the recovery is better or not necessary at all...slack....

Anyway i did a PB for AHM, what more can ask? Be content and moved on.

Monday wanna go and do a swim in the evening, but it is raining so have to take an enforce nights off without activities. Noon session in the gym is okay...as usual leg abit tight, did cycling, should be able to loosen the muscle.....

Tuesday, did a 3km run on the thread, slow...ok decent lah...start with 4:55km pace and end around 4:25 pace....leg is feeling okay...anyway dont want to push it. Evening went over to Queenstown swimming complex for a swim. The swim seems very slow, dont know why...as though some forces are pulling me back, but then i am not stress by the swim, which is pretty strange....u feel tired, u swim slow...that is the norm, but not in this case..anyway just dont have the heart to swim 1.5km today, just swim, relax and enjoy. Wow, saw those water hockey finally in action in the swimming pool..i guess they are the folks from finsonline....bio abit and didnt see any beautiful ger...sian....long time didnt go into finsonline leow...wonder how is it.....;)

Yasso 800s.....a blessing or a curse? Well, i did that again, this time according to the theory(try to lah)...i am going to based upon this practice for SCSM. Having 1 Marathon under the belt(as though sibei lao jiao), so have the experience to know how to finish the distance. This time round, must train for better timing. Okay...let hope it dont really burnt me...sometime after analysis the theory, wonder whether it works or not, but then, so many people have did it so should be okay lah....;)

Simple theory, what you wanna run for ur full marathon, do the same numerical figure for your 800 runs. Eg i want to run 4hrs for Marathon, that means train to run 4mins per 800 meters constantly. The aim is to let your body get used to this pace. This is going to be your based pace, which means when you are tired, this is the slowest pace you are going to "cruise" on. According to some readings, Yasso 800s is REAL, but must plus 5mins extra...into it.

To finish 4mins per 800meters = 5mins pace. divide it equally around 42km, that is 3.5hrs, giving tireness and blab blab blab...0.5hrs etc, sound a decent possibility. hmm....good....

My timingg for 10km is around 54-55mins at this moment. Do 5mins pace means 10km i should finish in 5omins....wow...like that dont know can or not......jialat lah.....:(

This evening, went to Queentstown stadium for a run, since clementi stadium is out due to soccer match. 2km for warm up and put Yasso 800's to the practise.

10x 800s between 3:50-3:58, average is around 3:56-58 with 200m walk. Wow, no stress leh. comfortable with the pace and did 10 sets...yoohoo....hehe....i think can do more....last time do 3:20-25 pace the most do 5 sets cannot push on, or rather mentally dont allow myself to push on. Anyway that time the circuit training is more for speed work(2.4km test), but this one is for marathon...it is different.

If i can do 10 sets(800s) at 4min pace, i should be able to run 50mins for 10km w/o problem....my mind start to think....I need to train to lock the pace and do a time trial for 10km see whether can run 50mins easily with more in the tank. If this is possible, then 4hrs for SCSM will be a possibility...
