Hari Raya Run

On Thursday is our Malay friends who are celebrating their festive holiday. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Taking the opportunity Francis and myself went to East Coast for a short "21km" run. This time, Francis brought his wife, daugthers and nephew along.

It was raining from the early wee of the morning and continue to do so until i reached East Coast at 7am. Shortly Francis came as well around 7:10am. We do our traditional warm up and proceed to do the run. The rained have stop and the weather was very good for a run.

We chit chat and run along the route to Ford road, make a U-turn back and proceed to Safra resort entrance at the other end. It wasnt a tough run or close to the last run we had experienced at East Coast. It was a good to see alot of runners along the way.(In fact there are runners everywhere nowadays) We have lots of "motivation" along the way, which is encouraging. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I tried out the fuelbelt again. It is a better experience this time round compare to last week. Anyway if the belt can be tigher it will be better. Still need some adjustment to get used to it. I didnt purchase the H2O isotonic drink original version & i dont want to put the sparking version, so i take the gulcose powder, mixed it into the 4 smaller bottles. Well, the drink was okay. Didnt feel much different compare to Isotonic drink, maybe it is only 21km thats why cant feel the "kick". Image hosted by Photobucket.com

On the return late, we sort of ran with a group of veteran runners. They dont look "that" fit, but they ran faster than us. We decided to split and i give chase to those runners. I managed to overtook them at the Lagoon Food Centre, where they take a water break. Anyway, i should overtaken them based on the pace, even if they decided not to push on instead of the stopping.

I finished the run in 2:21hrs. Frances is about a couple of minutes behind. As a whole, it was a good run today.
