Our Neighbour Police

Today i went over for a short visit. As i make my way back, i was signalled at the causeway to a side and indicates i need to go into the room. Alamak, what have i done? Die lah don't know what they have in mind. Sigh...going to pay "coffee" money leow lah....Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I was leaded to a room and informed i have a speeding summon on March 05. I was like har? Sibo? dont tell gonna slap me with a hugh bill and find excuse to "coax" me to pay under table? Fortunately, it was a $150 fine.(It is not cheap, but less than what i am expected) I paid up, check my Passport, get a receipt and leave. Phew...First time i experience "good" cop. The date of offence is the day i am on my way back from Marathon. It was ironic, i got a fine during my stay before Marathon for making an illegal U-Turn. The Cop have indicated i make a illegal U-Turn which gonna cost me a fine of $350 i think(or more), but willing to "close" an eye. But for speeding on the highway, it is $150 fine. I wonder, did the Cop make up the big figure and "lead" me to pay the "coffee" money? I think so too. $350 for U-Turn is too much, initially i refused to pay and request for a ticket, but he inisted and threated to bring me to Police Station, until Pheck Leng intervene and ask me to give him $ to settle the matter. I hate corruption. Hopefully with renew committement by the govt can eradicate this in the future. As for now, i am glad to pay the $150 fine, if i have err and go through the legal system. Image hosted by Photobucket.com
