Injury ?
For the last 12 months or so, i have nagging injury from one part to another of the body. A sign of old age? Or is it my body is telling me, it has enough of my abuse? I have been slacking in term of quality workout, even though the quantity is "there". I prefer slow and do things at my pace. I don't like to be pushed too much.
When it comes to major event, the mileage and intensity went up, that is when i get the most injury. Mount Kinabalu event is just round the corner and i am beinging to feel the effect of the training. Recurring injury is a norm, though i hate to admit it, i am expecting it. Currently i am feeling the effect of my upper left calf problem that affected myself in last year SCSM.
I am better prepared to deal with the injury now, but the thought that this kind of injury is expected, is frightening.
Last week i did an LSD 30k at MR, the slight aching at the start of the run and the feeling at the end of the run, remind me of last year 38k LSD prior to SCSM. It is a rewind of the scene again. The only different is that i am better to handle with the experience gain the last round.
Life goes on, without or without injury.
