Valentine Day Run

I didn't plan for Valentine Day run, until ....

Tigger: what are you doing on Valentine Day?
A: Go to the gym for workout
Tigger: Har? ....*asking myself: why are those single not enjoying the lovely atmosphere*

It is the time of the year, whereby the price of Rose, skyrocketed! Yup, it is time the merchant milk out the lovely couple on their hard earning $. There is a willing hand to clap with their side. On the other hand, it is also an opportunity whereby someone make a move and who know, thing might never be the same again!

What is Valentine Day? A day when couple renew their vows? Or a day whereby lovers spent some quality time together? This shouldn't be the case but i guess the general perception is so.

To me Valentine Day is just like a normal festive season. Everybody should have the rights to indulge in the atmosphere and not only for couple - married or attached or in process of being together!

Middle of last week, i have decided to held a Valentine Day run during CBD to share the lovely atmosphere to everybody, no matter their marital status. Putting on the thinking cap, i immediate went on to discuss the plan i have with my fellow co-organisers for CBD run. After i get their support, i proceed to get Jancy, Yingzi, Sotong & Heeshen assistance to gathering the kay si dao.

Valentine Day Run

It was 7pm, majority of folks have gathered at the usual place. Due to various reason, some folks are late. We have a few new faces, Jordan, Yrun, Zhiwei & Wensze that join Sgrunners for the first time. We have about 20 runners for the run tonight. About 30 total if you add those that are not running.

We set off the run after briefing of the route around 7:10pm. It was a slow and relax run as i was sandwich somewhere in the middle ofthe pack. The sun was pretty bright tonight as we run along Marina South. It was very winding on top of Esplanade bridge. It was great chitchatting with various folks on the run. On the return path along Shenton way, have a good run with Zhiwei and Roonz.

At the end of the run, we have a light makan - Beehoon(Prepare by Jancy), Old Chang Kee(sponsor by Sxuanjing) and drinks. We have a game session prepare by our grand matchmaker - Sotong. It was fun, even though i have "serious" question about the unabashedly bias towards ladies! Anyway, thanks to the creative of Sotong, everybody have a good time!

The highlight of the run, i guess is my presentation of a token of appreciation for the effort done by someone. Haha...don't bite tigger okay...:)

Games, food and drinks, plus the accompany of runners around, make today an enjoyable run.

Thanks everyone that chip in time/effort/money to make this event a successful. You know who you are, i appreciate your commitment to the cause and hopefully good fortune will come your way in the future. 4D must buy okay!
