knowing ourself
As i edge nearer to Hong Kong Marathon, i beginning to feel something different about my body that previous marathon did not.
Every race is different even though it is the same event as last year. Your preparation is different, the weather is different, everything is not the same as pervious year.
I am a slow learner, sometime it takes me very long to realise a easier way to do the same task.
I guess being human, we learn from our mistake and take note of that. Or on another hand, learn from the plus point and follow the winning formuale throughout. There might be better way to do the same job. It is out there for myself to experience and grow through it.
For my past 42Ks, i have been training in flat terrain to prepare for it. For Hong Kong Marathon, i am doing more of hills to get ready for the event. It is tough making the transition from flat to hilly terrains. Training in MR and MF will stand me in good stead(hopefully) when the D-Day arrive.
Having Great Eastearn 30km in KL should be a good tune up for the event, i guess. Time will tell after the event whether that make the differences. From all those that did the run before, it should be good.
My body needs a break after back to back 30km. I can't take 3 weeks of 30kms run - at least at this moment. Joining MF(SAFRA) have contribute more quality to runs. I still can't do the training in a regular manner at this moment. I have to take 1 step at a time to get my body use to the workout.
Learning one body ability to realise one strength and weakness. Making use of the information gather to plan the strategy for the run. Next stop is to look at the run route and make some plan for it.
