11 June - BKK Log

Woke up at 5:10 am, peek outside behind the draw curtains and the sky is still dark! Sleep lah! Mind playing the devil again. After 10 mins flipping around, I know I should be out there running! Sanity get hold of the situation and I start the run at 5:40am with my digital camera.

The floor is wet and some part is flood indicated raining over the night. It didn't appear the case back in the hotel. At this early morning still have some remaints of yesterday activities!

I ran towards Asosk BTS and heard towards Queen Sirikit centre. It is very humid as expected. Abit Chuan, is it the pace or weather? Don't quite understand, anyway this is going to be a short run around 6km doesn't really matter.

Ran 2 rounds of the Queen centre. It is a run, shoot and try to soak in the atmosphere. It is too humid to enjoy the run. The run pace is irate. One moment is around 5:30, the other moment is near to 4 min. The problem is that I know the humidity is going to cause my shoe to get WET. I need the shoe to go into the temple later. I will like to complete the rest ASAP, on the other hand, it is gonna get wet no matter how fast I ran!

I went to 7-11 to get mineral water(1 liter) for sweetheart before heading back on a run. I completed the whole exercise in 50 mins. As expected the shoe is very wet, make worst by the fact I step onto a lose tile and the water underneath that tile... Sigh..

Came back did stretching, rest before having breakfast before meeting the rest at 8:30 am.

First stop Grand Palace. We rent a mini bus for the two temple visit this morning. It is another water dripping session! I do not know what the temperature outside, but it is scorching. Ouch! This is the second trip here. The palace is under renovation, so wasn't that beautiful with so many works going on.

It is a good experience for those going first time and I get to visit a few sectors that I didn't get to do it the last time.

2nd stop is Wat Pho, it was a short ride. Wish it was longer as the aircon inside the minivan is heaven sent!

The temple is in worst conditions than Grand temple, plus the renovation make it horrible. The only beautiful about the temple is the reclining Buddha! The statue is beautiful. The 108 bowls in a row is interesting. Some put coins in each of the bowls!

Went back to hotel after our temple visits. It is HOT! Everyone just need a bath and some rest before we proceed on the assult later.
