Borneo Trip

I miss the last Borneo Marathon. This time round, have to nail it. :p

Manage to jio quite a few for the trip to Kota Kinabalu as well.

This will be my forth trip to KK. Each trip the feeling is different, similarly this time round is no difference.

Reached KK on Friday evening(29 April). Almost didn't make it when the taxi booked didn't turn up! Have to drive to airport in my own vehicle after picking up Bing from her home.

Rest a night in KK before we head out for Pedas(White Water Rafting) aka "milo drink". There is no white water, but brown in colour instead in KK. :p

Our stay in KK(MYNE) is okay. Just that there is no lift on the ground, have to walk 1/2 a storey for the nearest lift. :(

Booked and paid a deposit for the Pedas event and almost didn't materialise. Tour agent forget to book the tour for us! Fortunately within an hour, we manage to hope up a bus towards Tenom.

I guess i have food poison in Tenom and have a hard time enduring during the water rafting. Damn! It keep remind me of Penang Marathon. It was fun though, the highlight of the trip!

We are fortunate to reach hotel around 7:30pm. Have our dinner and off to bed.

Though continue to not feeling well, head for the race with Francis. The rest which did 42km, left earlier with the shutter bus.

Borneo Marathon is a small time event. We have an easy ride to the stadium(6km away). Very quiet. Too Quiet IMO, that we are not use to.

Race started at 5:30am sharp. A humid day ahead. We ran together, slow and easy pace. Guess around 4-5km, Wei Ming has overtaken us(he did 42km). He must be flying at a fast pace(He finished 3:45hr).

Sun starts to rise and it is getting hot as we move along. 2km at a time targeting the next water points. Many familiar roads as we passed it yesterday.

By the time we reached 16km, i am just a few meters in front of Francis and feeling tired. HR is slowly raising over the run and i felt like throwing out. Damn! Something is not right. I resort to walk trying to calm myself down.

I was targeting 2:30hr, but given the circumstance. Finish first. Slow and surely over time, i manage to complete the run in 2:34hr. Phew! A little bit of stretch, but still doable.

Quick line up for water, return of chip. Hope up the returning shutter and off we go. "Short and Sharp", the army will term this. Cool!

Wash up and head for a quick nap before heading out for lunch, shopping and massage! Wahaha...

Night time, have an "expensive" seafood dinner before heading for Karaoke at Lisa's company club. It has been a long time since i get to sing. For those that are fortunately to heard me singing..must remember to buy 4D!

A good few days getaway. It was fun and i hope everyone does as well. Look forward to next one. :p

Shanghai Trip

From 12-20 March, i was out for vacation in Shanghai. It was a trip to fulfil a statement sweetheart make few years back. After alot of deliberations, we decide this will be a good time to travel over to visit Shanghai. Heard so much about it. How modern it is compare to SIN. Couple with the few trips to China experience, we embarked on our 5 hr+ journey. We arrived in the afternoon. Cool weather(mid 10). We stay at our friend apartment in Pudong. She stays at a prime spot in Shanghai CBD area. After the first couple of days, roaming around i realised that Shanghai is very different from the rest of China i have visited. It is much better organise and definitely on par with SIN in many areas. 14 March, we head out for a 4 days tour to Hangzhou, Suzhou and Huangshan. Wow, another experience on how China does their tour business. There is no right or wrong, just different culture different practise. Hangzhou xihu is nice. A bit too short IMO. Suzhou is fine as well. Luckily no need to visit too many of these ancient place, or else sure bored. Huangshan is beautiful. We are humble by the undulating climbs. We are not prepared for the terrain. There is patches of snow left over from the snow a few days back and Enver get to play with it on his 2nd birthday. :p We are back in Shanghai for the remaining days of the trip. We head to the bund, museum, and a couple of flee markets. It is definitely a good trip to Shanghai. Not a bad place to live and work, if you compare it to SIN. I won't mind going back again. :p

A luxury short break

Thanks to TJT, we have a short getaway...drifting to the luxury of sea and hot weather.

Well with the BIG event coming up, this weekend should be a potential peak training. Alas, have to go along with what is in store and make it up with other forms.

A twice daily workouts for 5 days(except Thursday) follow by a nice and short LSD run on Saturday make it a slow building up for what could be an extreme long D Day come end March.

Apart from eating, snacking, sleeping, enjoying myself in a slow pace environment. I manage to catch simple workouts. A short run on Sunday morning, follow by Yoga(50mins). It is my first session in Yoga. Haven't really try it, though has seem so much of it in the gym. It wasn't something different from any stretching exercise i did previously. Just different way of doing things, still ohh....ouch..my way through...more fun that way.....

A good break to get me ready for the coming weeks workout till D-Day.

Depavali Makansutra

Date: 24th to 27th Oct 08
Event: Depavali Makansutra
Pcitures here.

It was a long journey to get this through. Had this plan months ahead. During the way, lots of potholes that we tumble along, sometime get myself bruises, at the end we did make it.

The four of us, Yankee, Angelia, Kickjazz and myself set off from Jurong East on 24th Oct.

The drive to KL is okay. We reached Royal Bintang Hotel in less than 4 hours after we started off. This hotel is much better than Federal, the last visit to KL in terms of it has underground parking! Overall feel this is better value compare to his neighbour - Federal.

We started our dinner at Jalan Alor. Slurp...follow by a long walk to Petaling street. Have black hokkien mee and Lao Su fern. It still taste as good as last time! Yummy. Back at Jalan Bintang, it was way over midnight and the street activities are still high. Shop wise, most have closed for the day.

Next day, we start off with a tim sum. Not really ood quality, so we came back to hotel and have the complimentary breakfast. Wow, at least the "free" meal taste so much better! Cool!

The drive to Cameron highland was good. It was pretty straight forward once we hit the highway towards Ipoh. The twist and upward slope towards Lakehouse is straight forward, the only issue i am concern is the damage to the car.

Lakehouse was very nice. The feeling is very homely, give the quality of the premises, it is good value for money! The only drawback is no TV(in the room) and the need for own set of wheels to travel around.

After settle down, we head further higher up for lunch before coming back for a short nap. I don't know about others, the driver is tired!

The thing about Cameron highland is the cold weather and hot steamboat! What is not expected is HOT weather and tonnes of steamboat littered everywhere! Damn! The most expensive meal(steamboat) are consumed this evening!

To add salt into the misery, there is a ticket on the windscreen! Reason, parking too much out of lot! What! So many cars park illegally like myself and fine me(ONLY)! Damn! I throw that piece of paper away!

Watch DVD on the lappie in room. Thanks to ST for lending the media. It comes handy.

Woke up with the intention to do a run. To everyone surprise the run didn't materialise, it just a short walk down the road skipping around the river.

Yeah lah..there is always a first time! Believe me!

After breakfast, head up to Boh Tea plantation. It was a challenging ride to say the least. Need to require all my experience to pull it through in 1 piece! Haha.

Have a hard time trying to find a decent strawberry farm. At the end sort of abandon the idea as it seems that good quality strawberry farm is far in between. Anyway can get good quality strawberry at masam malam!

Spend some time nuah at the kopi joint. Haha... That is life in the "slow" lane!

Dinner is simple ba kue teh, follow by masam malam kai kai. Strolling along, the only drawback is still the warm weather. Sigh.

After breakfast, we head downwards. The traffic is light and weather is good. Took us an hour to reach bottom.

The route back is uneventful. Reached Singapore safely in ONE PIECE.

Tigger tired. Need a long sleep. Keke.

Thanks for the accompany and angry stares(at times)...Opps!!

Back from Genting

Just came back from an Interesting event - Genting Trailblazer. Wow, it was fun to say the least.

If not because of my "problem" i would have give my 2 thumbs up for MUST TRY event.

It was more of a relieve for me to complete. It was painful. One of those whereby survival is more of an understatement. Will provide Race FR at a later date.

Head to KL on friday evening. Rest a night at the same hotel as last week, as i find it very nice and suit my requirement.

A quiet night in KL, before we proceed to head up Genting on Saturday.

Weather indeed is getting super hot. Even on top at Genting highland, the temperature is about 19C. Except for Mount Kinabalu, i don't think Genting/Cameron are worth the effort if you wanna stay at a cool atmosphere to wind down.

Nothing much have changed since my last visit like 7 years back! In fact, everything seems aged. Sian.

Walk around, see/look at Genting, nothing to shout about. I don't gamble, just go there and look at punters expression & check out the new games.

We stay at Awana Resort, which is mid height of Genting. The place is so much quiet and peaceful than on TOP of the mountain. Room as expected is able to accommodate 4 pax. 2 Queens size bed in a deluxe double room! Cool! Thanks for insight news from IMD, we squeeze 4 pax in 1 room. Keke.

A good trip. Thanks folks!

Bangkok - shopping, eating

10 Aug

Woke up 6am(local time). Slept pretty late(2am) and still can wake up as per norm! Body clock just couldn't take a day break! Although I am on vacation!

Came out on a bright morning, slow and steady run to the park. Don’t really feel that good this morning. Feel like going back and slack. I stuck into it and finished 2 loops of the park and slow jog back. 43mins effort and was drenched!

Go over to weekend market. It was a relax stroll since only 2 of us for this trip, something new for a change! Weather was good. Shopping isn’t much, as we know what we want and get to explore other part of the market that we normally either get too tired or too hot to even venture into those area. Have our customary lunch. It is heavenly shiok with the cold bottle of coke to quell the heat!

We came back for a rest. Shiok to nuah during vacation. :)

We went shopping at MBK and Central at Chitlom. We took a while getting through our shopping list. By the time we finished our shopping, it was pretty late and we have to have dinner at our hotel lobby. Phew. At least we can eat in peace and just hit upstairs after it.

Sleep late. Just couldn’t get myself to sleep earlier.

11 Aug

Woke up at 6am again. Decide to head to the gym this morning. The gym was new. Have a 60mins on the bike, follow by 30mins of weights. Pretty cool to start the day!

Lazy around before getting our breakfast. We head to Pratunam this morning. Knowing what we required, it is pretty smooth and easy trip for us. Weather was excellent this morning. We head back to Central World for additional shopping. It was nice to shop without the time constraint bugging you. We head to Robinson at Asoke and a nice tea break before heading back to hotel for our afternoon nap. It was raining; we are slightly caught in it. Okay lah, just drizzling.

In BKK, apart form eating, drinking, shopping, massage is a MUST!I went for a massage on my own, since Pheck Leng couldn’t do it. My regular massage parlor is very far away and I decide to head to a nearby joint which I read is pretty good. I have a hard time finding it. Almost abandon the search after going through a few streets trying to find a couple of alternatives. After about 1hr, I finally found it,

The thing about massage parlor in BKK, it is so many on the street. A few steps there are one at least at the place that I stayed. I remember the last trip to KL, try that street side massage, wasn’t really impressed, so prefer to take those a bit higher class type. Massage was decent with the right kind of atmosphere. Opt for Aroma 1.5hrs, cost me 800 bath. Apart from the bath tub water spray that refuses to throw out hot water, the rest is pretty up to decent standard. I would love to trade it off for healthlandspa anytime. The quality and pricing is just a class of its own in Bangkok!

Proceed to MK in Siam Square for dinner, abit of walk walk at the area before we retired for the evening.

12 Aug

Decide to slack and skip workout this morning. After breakfast left for Airport. It is Queen birthday(public holiday) and the streets are quiet and travel to airport is a breeze.

This time round know how much time to allocate for the traffic in airport and have sufficient time to walk around and have last meal there before boarding.

It is a good and relax trip. We enjoy it. Don’t think we come back again till next year.

Signing off from Thailand, Land Of Smiles.

Off to BKK

In a few hours time, i will be flying out to BKK. This will be my 2nd trip this year. :)

Since this is a long weekend(company enforced leave on Monday). I decide to travel out. It is a short of last minute decision. Thought of driving across the causeway. Long story short, we are heading out.

We are coming back on Tuesday, expect to do a fair bit of shopping. Anyway, it come pretty timing as well. We need to increase our wardrobe leow....getting pui...haha...

The journey to BBK was smooth. After been here for quite a few sessions, we are pretty season on making it through with minimum effort.

Every trip to BKK, we have stayed in different hotel. This time round it is the same. We choose Citi Chic this round. It is just slightly more expensive than our normal grade of hotel but it is highly recommended by a few others on the forum. I was pretty impressed with the hotel website site and without any hesitation, choose it.

Upon reaching, we are Wow! We are impressed. Apart from being super NEW, this Boutique is a class of its own. So far so good. The gym(which i took a look just now) is even newer than my CAR! Maybe not much people used the gym, but give it to me...i shalt "wet" the studio soon....:)

Kinabalu Trip

I have been thinking of going back to Mount Kinabalu since the last trip. I want to do it at a leisure pace.

Have been putting off the trip for various reason. Finally get an opportunity and end up i have to do it myself! Well, sometime in order to get thing right, i just have to do it myself.

I know quite a few folks have been willing to climb Mount Kinabalu to fulfil their "been there, done that" goal. It is time to put my foot down and just do it.

It took a while to round up and trim the entourage until 7 of us. It was tough to set a date and getting the reservation as Mount KK takes about 3-4 months prior reservation. Furthermore July is a peak season, so getting a slot in March was challenging to say the least.

It is much easy to let other do the planning whereas i just "pay and go". Sometime i don't know why i have to plan all these thing and get myself unnecessary headache. Maybe i enjoy doing this. Maybe i am one of those "if i don't go to HELL, who else will"

7 of us make the trip to Kota Kinabalu on 18th July. We spent 5 days in Sabah. 2 days of travelling, 2 days at Mount Kinabalu and 1 day for River rafting.

As a whole, i would say it is a fun trip. I don't know about others, but my objectives are achieve. I hope everyone enjoy the trip as well.

As we go through new experience(frontier), we share and pick up valuable experiences along the way. Sometime not so good, sometime we are lucky, other time it went according to plan. I always have something new each time.

It has a kampung feeling going to Kota Kinabalu. As though i am back in the 80s in my childhood days. I have to think hard what other matter might entice me to go back again though.

Time to move on...next stop...Cameron Highlands.

Thanks to Mark, the photos are here, there and everywhere. :)

River Padas

Head for the river this morning. The folks from the River agency came earlier to pick us up earlier than expected! We are surprised!

All our legs are wobbling. Haha..the ache from the climb have creep in. Everyone walk with a bit of ginger steps. Ouch here and there. Haha...

We took a 3hours ride to transfer to a super old train ride to arrive at the destination. 7 of us are assigned to a RAFT and off we went through the various RAPIDS. I actually drank quite a few mouthful of milo pin! lol.

Lunch was simple before we proceed for 2nd round. I even took dip voluntarily in the water to experience the flow.

It was fun.

Reach back at town around 8:30pm. It was late and not much option left for dinner.

Seem strange the place on weekday evening is more happening than weekend.

Summit

Start the journey at 2:20am. It was around 8 deg c and the weather is good. Slowly head up the slope, another 2.7km climb awaits.

I tried to go slow and try to keep a close eye on HR. It was ok at first subsequently the problem haunt me again. Slow and steadily summitted!

3 hour for the effort. Finally I have reached and so has everyone! I am glad that some have height, medical and confidence concern did manage to overcome those. No matter how tough or slow, as long as you tried long enough, eventually you will finished.

After breakfast, another 4 hours to descend. It rains for the last 100Meters! A good weather trip! It could have been worst!

Legs are wobbling as expected. Did a massage which actually make the ache worst! No matter let it be.

A good climb trip!

Mount kinabalu

It was a tough 5hrs climb. I have reached raban rata.

The climb wasn't that difficult if only my HR stay obedient! Sigh.

It was slight chill and drizzle when we start the climb. HR went up pretty fast. Up hovering around 150. It was still manageable until the 2nd rest point at 1km mark. All hell break lose!

The usual happen after that. Breathing was pretty heavy and I was tried in no time. I was struggling up from then onwards. It was tough to say the least.

Frequently pause to calm down and continue moving upwards.

Walk long will reach eventually! So struggling and walk with difficulties, I eventually reached! What a walk!

Tomorrow is up to summit! Hopefully I be ok. Finger crossed.

KL weekend

It took a long time to plan. Finally we make it work. A weekend whereby we have a guy outing to KL. It was either a toss up between KL or Malacca as i am familiar with these locations. Since one of us have not been to MY and prefer twin tower, the choice is pretty obvious.

Right after work, with some delay we head over to KL, it was a smooth moving after the usual jam at the immigration. Reach Federal Hotel before 10pm at Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Decide to forgo Ancasa this time round and stay at Bukit Bintang, since this is a happening area and we can stay pretty late if require. Won't be able to tell what the guys want to do, since this is the first time we going out.

Location is pretty good(crowded). As a whole, everything seem to be in working order given amount we paid. The only drawback about this hotel is that it don't have its own parking lot. We have to use the parking facilities(although it is free for hotel guest) at the next door(IT mall). Wah! I thought i read somewhere it has its own parking facilities. Not realise that parking is at a public building! Damn scary! To make matter worst, the carpark is like our Sim Lim Square, packed like sardines...and still let car coming in! It does get into my nerve! Lucky no incidents over the next 2 days...unless u consider a scare i experience somewhere else during the run later.

Check in the hotel and head over to Jalan Alor which we miss the last trip! Tried out the Grilled chicken wings, grilled fish and sotong as per recommended. The taste is pretty good. Though the sotong is pretty salty...as a whole still worthy a try. Walk around Bintang before closing the shop for the day.

Head over and reach KLCC at 8:30am and the ticket for the walk on the "bridge" is fully utilised! Damn it! To rub it in, i realised that there are no grace period for parking! I have to pay RM$3 for 8mins parking! #$#$%%

Petailing for breakfast..Tim sum! Not really that good, similar to last time, will have to strike it out next round. The porridge seem to be good around the place where they sell black hokkien mee. It was still early, the rest of the shop is not open. Try to walk abit there before proceed to Mega City.

The samsung hp (show bunnie) looks pretty cute...hehe....decide to take a quick, one of those S$10 hair cut...at KL..it is RM$13! Good price, mai tuo leow! Lunch at Sushi King. From previous experience jap food in MY give good value..but quality wise still have some way to catch up.

Everyone was tired. The legs are aching from the shopping! Haha...you can't expect the guys to be good shoppers right! Head back to hotel for a short nap. Tired, no point pushing the "pace" we are on vacation lah!

Time to revisit the Hakka restaurant for dinner. Pig totter are still that good. Prawn sashimi is excellent. A good dinner! Cool.

Walk around the neighbour before we have Baskin Robin session at Time Square. A nice sweet evening to close for the day.

We reach Merdeka Square around 7am. 10km race start at 7:30am, 5km at 8am. We are fortunate to get a parking slot pretty close to the event. I thought it is a paid open air carpark, thus choosing the site, alas since so many cars park side by side, it should be okay.

Siemen Run 2008. FR of the run will be on another thread here .

I meet up with the rest of the gang on the way back to the carpark. I was surprised to see a group of runners gathering at the carpark area with Policeman. OMG MY CAR! My heart sanked! There are a few cars with their side mirror smashed. Apparently petty thief broke the glass and make away with whatever they can grab without opening the door. I was relieve that nothing happen to my car! The car next to mine has its driver window smashed and wallet stolen. It is a mix feeling. I sympathies with those unfortunately owners and felt relieved I wasn’t the victim.

After a bath back in hotel walk across the street to have a local favour wantan mee for brunch. Slack abit at the hotel before we proceed for a massage nearby the hotel. So many of those, just head into the first one we find. The old lady was strong, I was surprised that ah ma is so strong, but I don’t quite enjoy the session. :(

Took a while, turning and twisting and finally reach NS highway back to SIN. We have lunch at Ayer Keroh…A&W, what else? The coney dog taste poor. Anyway, have my ice-cream float root bear and curly fries. Yeah!

Have been driving around 110-120km/hr on the way back, way below my usual 140-150km. I still have to foot RM$50 for speeding! I couldn’t believe it! The car in front of me are speeding and you don’t stop the MY car and stop ME! I won’t even consider myself speeding! IT is ridiculous. What can I do? I just have to pay the corrupted policemen! On the way back to SIN, I saw another 2 more patrol cars looking for victim! By then I have keep my speed between 100-110km/hr!

I am surprised that the new petrol rules for MY have not or ignore blatantly by the petrol company near the 2nd link. I manage to topped up before the custom and head over a smooth transition between the borders. Reach SIN around 6pm.

It was a good trip, thanks guy for the accompany.

Day 2 - Netherland

I don't know what happen, at times i find it difficult to breath. Is it the atmosphere? I don't know why. HR was okay, just abit difficult to get air during the 60 mins bike in the hotel gym this morning.

Training start today. Not to bore into the details, it was a good session.

After work head for R&R. :p

Pictures speak louder than a thousand words. Cool.

Meeting start tomorrow, this morning head over to the office.

It is nice to meet with the rest of the gangs which i have spoken to on conference calls for months. Interesting enough, except for my boss, the rest are from different countries.

No workout this morning, just slacking and of course...drink/eat...which is part of the trip...:p

This is 8.5% alcohol. Abit....:) Pui leow lah! :)

Amsterdam

Woke up at 5am. Start the run towards the coast at 5:40am.

I was on my own heading towards the beach with general instruction from Mike. It is around 6km. I have my Garmin with me that I can backtrack if things get nasty :p

I started the run, around 16 deg c. HR was slightly faster at the beginning, after a while of stop/take picture, continue kind of momentum it stabilize. It was a nice run and look at different house(architect).

I didn’t reach the beach around 3:7km and U-turn as I have zig zag around neighbor to reach the beach. There is a highway that goes straight to the beach, but I can’t run there, so have to zip zag around and it is getting confusing, so I stop and return.

I reach back at the door step estimated 7.5km around 52mins. Decide it is too short, did another smaller loop (1.2km) within the neighbor to know the place better. A good run.

We head towards Amsterdam during mid morning. We park somewhere at the perimeter of Amsterdam and take a tram into the central area. I was informed a few hours of parking in central will cost $60 Euro! Day light robbery!

Mike brought me to Van Gogh museum. Wow cool paintings! Though I am not a painting lover, I do see some beautiful pictures and of course many “why that stupid picture” kind of painting as well.

We head to Hard Rock(Amsterdam) for meal. My 10oz burger looks GOOD! Head to merchandise side and couldn’t find anything userful..so skip.

The Gucci bag shop was closed on Sunday…too bad…J…I save u S$1k+ okay hor….

Head over to Red Light district for an eye opening session! Damn solid…interesting concept…some ladies are a GEM. Some are just CMI, some are like grandma! I guess everyone have different needs…haha…

Saw a few coffeshop as usual.

Dinner is at home nearby Chinese restaurant. Not much appetite after the day UP size! Haha…anyway, how good can Chinese food be in a ang moh country? Sigh…

A nice day at Amsterdam. Thanks.

Pictures here.

Leiden

I was glad to see Mike, Soo Wah and Dexter.

Aiyoh, Soo have giving birth 3 months earlier have not manage to reduce her tummy...so sad...

Dexter is adorable to say the least. I have to observe what is the similarity between Soo and Dexter :p According to Mike, it is the grumpy nature that is similar! Hehe.

Weather was cool..around 16-23deg c today. Their home is about 20 mins from Amsterdam.

There is a small masam malam near their place, we take a walk, see/look.

Afternoon head over to Leiden town to take a look. A busy small town area. Realise that Rembrandt childhood is in Leiden.

This is alot of new things i can find here. Eg pathway just for bikers! Traffic light just for bikers! Exclusive public rubbish chute just for those staying nearby! Dutch is the average tallest people in the world!

No public toilet, a use of the toilet at cafe without making any purchase is 50cents(euro)! Everything here is in dutch language. Young people some English(since it is inside their school syllabus).

The Dutch take a slow approach in life. Order a coffee at the pub will take 20-30mins. There is a few "coffee" joints here that means "drug" center. Selling heroin is legitimate here, and it is operate with a license. A sort of culture shock to see people taking a shot in public!

Current day light is from 5am to 10pm(so long!) Tiring! I am struggling to keep myself awake due to the time different(6hrs slower than Singapore). I don't remember experience this while in US but in Europe it is a different story. I just have to force myself to go over the Jet lag problem.

I am adapting well. Pretty tiring as i don't have a good sleep on the flight and the long day today trying to stay awake and force myself to sleep base on their clock.

Photos here.

Touch Down

Landed 6:45am in Schiphol - Amsterdam.

A 13 hours flight, not really that bad...dont feel that tired though...Movie wasn't that great...a bit difficult to breath during the flight. Maybe the air is thinner....

Expect the town to turn Orange!

2nd day after IM

Body still ache, but i think the worst have gone over last evening. The bike session have accelerate the pain process, or maybe the massage yesterday have work.

Woke up pretty late, no bother waking up early this morning. It is holiday! Actual fact, i was too tired after the massage late evening and didn't bother to adjust the alarm clock. If not, i couldn't have mind to go for a recovery run or swim in the morning.

Couldn't find a place to eat nearby the hotel, so we decide to a chance on the street hawker by the road side. It was good the food. The noddle(soup) is nice and the yutiao(abit plain) and tao hui jui is good. :p

Shopping in the afternoon at a local street that deal with wholesale market. It was very hot...remind me of "chachuchap" in Bangkok kind of weather. *fan myself furious!*.

Have a local dinner. Wenchang chicken is like kampung chicken, abit stiff. The mix vegetable is very nice, taste like back home, without the tomato based. Some of the vege order, i have no other it is local dish.

Went to a coffee joint and have a sip. According to the banner outside, it is the voted number 1 in Hainan. Wow, does seem impressed with the decor etc. I decide to take plum green tea and the taste...hmmm...i didn't finish the drink...:(
