World Harmony Run - 2007 (part 4)

I have taken their 3 run so far. Part 1, 2 & 3. Haha....today is part 4.

I didn't join them from the start as i worry my body is not able to take it. The start/stop and long hours will cause more demand to my body, then a straight 25km run!

I just completed a 32km run yesterday! Another 25km today isn't a good choice, especially with Penang Marathon coming right up! I decide to join in midway that is about 12 - 15km.

World Harmony Run is a very good concept, which i strongly believe is good for our society. We should treat everybody as equal, irregardless of race, religious and status. Unfortunately this is not the case in many if not all the places.

I am schedule to wait at Commonwealth MRT at 11:10am for the group to run pass, i reached there at 10:20am! I waited, stretch and almost fall asleep waiting on the staircase leading up MRT station....haha....

The group finally arrived at 11:20 am! After dropping the stuff on the minibus, i proceed to join them into a Indian temple(Sri Muneeswaran Temple) that is 500 meters or so away.

It is great to see many runners taking part this year. It also give me an opportunity to renew my ties with many sgrunners that i seldom meet! These runners, all Ninja on their own, whenever there is WHR, they will come out from their hideout and come forward. Cool! I love to run with them! It was fun going up/down meeting/discussing with various runners and keep each other updated.

We proceed with a 6km+ run to the next stop(Sikh Temple) along Blair Road. It was a good run with a mass group. Though the weather was hot, but the spirits are high. As usual the Cisco guards and minivan did a very good job in guarding the safety and motivating the runners.

From the temple to next stop(Merlion) is about 3km+. I have decide not to run anymore! Nope, i didn't went up the bus as well. I did speed walking all the way to Merlion! Haha...i didn't realise i am capable of doing that. Most probably it is because of the slow pace the rest of the runners are going that i am able to keep in steps. I even jio Kayano to follow suit! Hehe...he gamely follow. According to Kayano we are going at 8:30km/hr pace. Haha...that's how slow we are covering in the hot weather!

The run ended at Merlion. It was schedule to finish at Kallang, but TB decide otherwise....:( Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me. It is a nice place to end anyway! We ended at there for the last 3 times!

I think i covered about 10km for this run. It is good to be associate with the event. Thanks everyone for a wonderful time. May there be Harmony in everywhere in the World!
