Target - ON

The water was slightly cold this morning. Perfect for an LSD swim!

Think of the distance intended to cover. *Shiver*. :(

Think positive and do it a step at a time. Started off in a decent slow pace. Target for 1st 5 set of 200 meters circuits(1km). After that slowly built it up. If cannot take it, then lessen the expectation. Time is still on my side on the swim portion.

There is one thing i learn from this few years of running is to plan ahead. "slack" is our human nature. NEVER plan your training to the DOT - meaning DON'T practise JIT(Just In Time) especially on your key event. Proper planning is good, but have to prepare contingency for other unknown factors that will hamper the training along the way.

1st set of 1km, went away pretty fast. 2nd set of 1km just come and go. 3rd set of 1km was a little bit challenging. For some reason, on the 3rd set, the engine start to ramp up! I was feeling good and giving it a good push!

During the last 2oo meter of the 3rd set, a sharp pain(bottom right) of my calves nearer to the ankle developed. Whenever i kick, sometime i get a sensation and it is causing concern. It wasn't really that bad, but just to be on the cautious side, decide to swim back to breast stroke after completing the 3rd set.

Started off breast stroke for the rest of 500 meters. Like the last swim, i get faster as the distance increase. Unlike last week, i didn't push very hard, as wanna reserve something for today interval.

It is going to be a tough run tonight. Hopefully my knee will hold. Finger cross.

3.5km for 1:30hr of effort. On Target.

Interval at CBD this evening.

It has been a long time since i did 2km interval. My timing is out! I should do this more often!

11:30
10:30
10:10
9:48

Actual distance is 2:05km.

It was an okay run, just need to fine tune the pace.

Injury update: A blister on the right toe, Knee abit ache during the warm up run to Esplanade bridge(subsequently no problem), toothache(which has been giving trouble over the last few days)

Need to rest.
