UW - I
I have a plan. A brick on saturday and a rest day on sunday. But.
Alarm went off as per plan, i was lazy. Sleep for a while, the next time i knew, it was too late to do anything worth the effort.
Head down to ECP to join the run. KPE have just opened and i decide to take the route and check it up. Alas it leads right to ECP! No choice but to make a u-turn at Katong Road back to ECP B1 carpark.
I can feel the stress on the right knee within the first 8km. Sian, have to bite it and hopefully it goes away. I didn't have the watch with me today as i left it at home. It was good weather when we completed our first loop of 16km. Along the way do see some familiar faces running with the pacer group.
Decide to put on my right knee guard, replenish and head out for the 2nd set. Saw our lovely "NYC bound" couple doing the last bit of tapering. :P
The knee still feel the same, some time ok, sometime can feel the stress. :(
2nd set pace was faster, before we reach the u-turn mark, the rain starts to pour down. It was shiok, as it cool the body. I enjoy the run in the rain. Tummy start to make some noises, but nothing serious.
The return leg was like, legs getting tired, pace picking up, knee continue to be a concern. It was a fast return leg, the last 2km, we went up until 5min/km before a sprinting back to the end. In all, it should be around 4hr for the 32km effort with all the breaks.
Thanks for the accompany. Hopefully me knee will stand good. Finger crossed.
