Deepavali Tri
Wanted to do a long bike since it is Deepavali today. Alas the body didn't feel that well and have to cut short the journey. :(
I need a long ride. Since it is a public holiday, must definitely make good use of the time. Instead of resting/feasting like normal folks, my kind of "fun" will be sleepless, peddling away alone in coastal road/ecp. *faint*
Start the ride from ECP F2 carpark slightly after midnight. Head towards Coastal Road(Changi) + ECP(Ford Road) loop which is 45km(actual 43km). Intend to do 3 loops, which is going to take me around 6hr.
The ride is struggling for me, at least in term of speed wise. Maybe i have becoming the slaves of the speedometer, taking it as a gauge of the form of the body. It took a while to stabilise the pace at 22km/hr+ My shoulder are aching, back is hurting and it seems it isn't going to be a long night ahead.
Complete 1st round in less than 2hrs, took a break and continue 2nd loop. I can feel the body telling me otherwise. Sigh. After struggling for a while to get back the momentum, i decide not to push on anymore. I better take complete the 1/2 loop back to F2 and stopped. Distance 73km, bike time: 3:14hr. Average pace: 22.0km/hr
I think it is good to pull back when the body giving abundant distress signals. Sound just like when i am preparing my first marathon. Hehe...which i think i did very well, despite the lack of training mileage. :p
Head home and have a quick nap before continue on the 3rd leg for a Deepavali Special!
