No Bad Weather
There's No Bad Weather, Only Weak Minds!
The statement does not mean just the bad weather alone that disrupt the training. Typically the norm take the meaning as raining or hot weather that hamper their training.
If i take a long look at it from other angles, it means alot more on human behaviours. Or rather "weakness".
Why do you sign up for a 42/21km event? What is the purpose?
At the end of the day, mountain of excuses(to me it is weak minds!) that show up its ugly head again.
Working is a common excuses not to train for it. Signing up for an event isn't commit yesterday, it was signed up months and months ago! Don't give the excuse that everytime it is work(as though it rains every time you lace up your jogging shoe!). If there is a will, there is definitely a way. Whether you want it or not!
Not feeling well(cold/cough/sore throat) is another excuse. As though you get sick week in week out. If you are committed, you will find a way!
No mood to workout! That is a lame excuse. How many folks can't do workout due to disability(eg work commitments) and there is a cheek to say no mood!
Weather! Occasionally it happens! But not every time it rains!
Can't wake up. It is another one of those stupid excuse! Well, do it during noon or night time or midnight is an option. Don't give the crap!
Tired! Who is not tired from working? Tired, can't you do it slowly?
How many folks wanna signed up for event, but can't due to oversubscribe or late to register.Whereas some sign up and show bad attitude.
Some are born blind and still able to complete the event(whatever distance)! For an able bodies, this is a disgrace that i am shy to admit are among us.
It is not easy. I know. I have done it and experienced it. At the end of the day, it is the attitude.
Working? Can't plan your training over the work commitment? Not feeling well? You sure you can't run with a cold? No mood? You must be joking! Jogging based on mood! Weather? When it rain, you can choose to start later or hit the gymCan't wake up? Is there a item so call alarm(s)! Tired? Who is not tired after a hard day work!
If you sign up for an event, be prepare to commit to it. If not, don't take up a space that others need!
If you slack, nobody will care, only yourself will know.
