tackle MR Ultra
It is the time of the year where i tackle the last run of the year - MR 25 Ultra Marathon.
This is going to be my 2nd attempt at this event. Last year(2006) race report is here. The year(2005) before, the report is here.
As usual i go into the year end race with injury. Not a serious injure that will stop me from taking part in the event. Enough to keep me wary of the task on hand.
The intention for this year event is to do 6 loops, in preparation for sundown event. Given the body condition, i might just do the minimum and call it a day.
Bottom of my feet, continue to give me concerns. I just need to be careful and get my emotion checked during the race, i should be alright.
Strategy for the run
1) 1st set - Run non-stop (except for water points)
2) 2nd set - Run non-stop (except for water points)
3) 3rd set - Run on flat, walk on the speed humps + water points
4) 4th set - Run on flat, walk on the speed humps + water points
5) 5th set - Run on flat, crawl/roll on the speed humps
6) 6th set - ?
First 2 sets - 1:15hr each.
Next 2 sets - 1:25hr each
Next 1/2 sets - 1:30hr each
Survive to run on another day.
