First weekend
Sore throat still stink when i woke up this morning. :(
What am i doing this early the morning? I should be sleeping. Stretched myself, have some water(struggling to gulp with sore throat) and pull myself out of the house. Reached ECP B1 @6am.
I was there by myself. The rest of the toos are running tonight to prepare for Sundown Marathon. This is suppose to be my recovery run. In fact, my first run since China event.
I started off feeling slightly rusty. I stop for a walk break after 2km. Saw Too baby and Ronnie doing their ninja. HR was pretty okay slightly less than 130. Slowing i reached the 4km(toilet), take some slips of water and proceed on. Feeling pretty good, i proceed to up the tempo and HR head around 134. Saw realrunner as he run past me.
It was a pretty good run to the sailing club(toilet). Time check: 60mins(58mins run time).
Have a can of 100 plus to "reward" myself. Took a longer break before happily head back. Wasn't feel that particular okay, maybe it is the 100 plus? I took 2 walk breaks before i reach F2 carpark. It seems i don't remember how to breath! I am having some difficulties breathing through the nose and when i used the mouth, the throat like feeling strange. It wasn't a pleasant feeling.
I was rather annoy and pick up the pace slightly. HR went up to about 137. Took another walk break before reaching the lagoon toilet.
I feel good, so continue the intensity back to end point. HR hover above 140+ for most of the way. Took quite a few break to calm myself down. Saw SK and Danny from Trifam doing their runs. These two gentle DNF in China. To me, it take courage to put up the hands and say i have enough. The kind of feeling sucks! Don't be dissapointed guys. You will do better next time.
I finished the run in 2:02hr(1:53hr run time)
Avg: 6:58km/hr, 129bmp
Max: 5:10km/hr, 172bmp
Distance: 16.29km
After the run HR calm down as expected.
It was a good recovery run, could be better though. :)
