Getting there?
It was late for the swim. It doesn’t help that I feel abit discomfort throughout the swim. Did I swim too fast?
Started first km with 50 breast + 50 free combination. I was feeling abit chuan, maybe too much switching around and body not adapting. Turn to breast stroke after 1km. Feeling much better after the body get use to the stroke. After a few hundred meters, the chuan feeling came back again. Most probably I am swimming fast, as the gap between me and pacer uncle is slowing pulling wide.
I wanna push to 3km this morning. After taking a big mouthful of water at around 2km+. Not the first time of the day, I decided to call it a day at 2.1km. No bother pushing at this stage if I am not feeling “fresh”.
Not satisfy with the swim. Alas, with the event so close, better take an easy approach and save it for race day.
2.1k in 63mins. I can't remember when i ever swam so slow. :p

The rain stop as usual, just nice for us to start the run this evening. :p
When you finished our first loop on Fort Canning, i was pleasantly surprise to see my buddy waiting at the starting/ending point of our usual interval loop. She complains that she haven't done the loop yet.
It was a small group this evening, maybe due to the rain that poured down prior to the run. We started off towards Fort Canning. Pace was okay, i feel a bit difficult to breath, maybe the weather, maybe the HR belt tightly across the chest. I deliberately keep my pace slow and keep my HR in check.
The rest of the runners are in front, while i am in the back. 1 slacker, 1 "7-month" ah beng and buddy is no where to be seem. Guess they most probably be slacking behind and U-turn/snake somewhere else. Hehe
Although HR is good today, maximum at 151bpms. Given the short distance cover, it looks fine for me.
Buddy went off by herself doing the loop. I was "shocked". How come she! Ok, i am "impressed"...at the same time i am "worry". 1 lonely ger running in the dark! For some unknown reason, everyone start running after buddy and "accompany" her for another run. Unexpected distance! Haha...
We have a good run back to TP. HR is okay, pace is fine, maybe a slow. Phew...maybe it is the short distance. Anyway, getting it through unscattered is the best i can ask for at this moment.
P/S: Thanks to buddy, i have a cold Mr Bean drink this evening. *cool*
