Darkness
IT rains like the previous 2 days. I went to the pool as on any Thursday. Weather seems breezy..with drizzling. Just the kind I love to swim in.
The water was warmer than anticipated. Maybe 0.5 degree lower than norm. Sigh…
A swim that get miscalculated during middle of it. Did I complete 4 or 5 sets? Did another 5 sets and finished in a total of 53mins. Decide to do another 100 meters of froggie. Tried to sprint, or look like sprinting effort. HR immediately shoots up.
I can feel the racing HR Feeling a bit of perspiration coming down from time to time. It didn’t stop…at least I am aware of it..until about 2hrs later. Damn it.
I shouldn't have push it during the last lap. :)
I receive 2 CD from down under. IMWA 07 and IMA 08. I remember this scene where the commenter speaks about 1 elite...and his knee...one day he feel real bad, one day it is okay. What will happen today during race, nobody can tell. Its remember me of my situation. It use to be 1 x DNF in a month or two in the past, now is like 1 x Finisher in 1-2 months!
How is the morale for coming SD? Pretty down. I can sense darkness...reign...
It was disappointing, despite the rest that i am struggling to do 2km on the treadmill on 6:15min pace. I could have done this pace for 42km in the past. Currently, it is just not possible and maybe in the future as well.
I did a lackadaisical effort on the weights.
I am used to take part in event not feeling 100%. Running knee, muscle pain, body fatigue, fever, cold are just part and parcel of what i have experienced going through various events. At least i know what i am against, knowing this will pass and there are lights at the end of the tunnel.
Not knowing what i am dealing with is more scary.
