Vesak day special

The quads are tight. I do not know why. The last 2 runs, my quads are sore after that. Did i run using more of the quads than my calves? Or is my quads that weak nowadays despite doing quite a number of bike sessions? Strange.

It is Vesak day. I was jio to take part in 3 steps 1 bow at early hours of the morning. I decline, i need my bike session.

I woke up at 5am and reached Changi CP2 at 5:45am. On the way, meet up with Joanna, singing by herself in her Vios. :p I was surprised to see Prata there this morning. I didn't mention to him about this ride earlier last week and he didn't mention he is keen to ride up, as he stayed in Queenstown. Nevertheless, he cycle here. It is a good 30-40km away. Cool.

The rest are late. I am disappointed. Burnz, Heeshen and Kia were pretty late. These people need a scolding! I find it bad manner to keep other waiting. Especially other have to put in effort to wake up earlier and make sure to reach in time, whereas other just have this bochap attitude. Occasionally lapse i can still accept due to unforeseen circumstance, continue lateness is no excuse. You are wasting other effort to be on time. Some need to rush for other stuff after the session!

We started off i think around 6:40am towards coastal road. Today journey takes us a loop of Sundown route. Joanna is pretty strong and leads most of the way. I was cycling at 26-27km/hr managing to keep close to her, while the rest of the "fanciful" bikes just cruise away during coastal road way above 30km+.

We re-org at NSRCC. Burnz back wheel looks flat. Get some pumping and next thing you know, his chain came off! Is this the end of his morning? Fortunately not...:p

We cycle to "big splash" as per SD route. There are full of folks on East Coast park, we have to reduce our speed. Animiles team are there. The newly renovated "big splash' have a bike shop...which have BIG bike! Pretty interesting.

We proceed to close the bridges and reach Kembagang Shell petrol to give Burnz another opportunity to get some air into his tires.

The sun have come out as we have to peddle hard along Bedok, Tampines roads towards Pasir Ris. Crossed over a few bridges and a few small climbs, we reached Changi village.

We stopped for breakfast. Heeshen give us a treat. Next time must whack expensive meal for those that choose to be late! *evil grin*.

Give Prata a lift back before heading home. Reached home a few minutes shy of noon time.

It was a start stop kind of rides, as the route is puncture with lots of "disturbance". The ride was pretty fast, HR rise to 130+ on various occasions, but i was feeling okay.

A good ride this morning.
