Saucony Passion Run
Last year i was in Netherland and miss the event. This year, 15km sound like a good distance to test out what what is left in the tank and take it as preparation for AHM.
The pick of Bib last week at Velocity is a breeze. Well done to the organiser.
It was a strange feeling to get jammed going in to ECP. I think it is norm, as i took part in the non-competitive which start 30mins later the competitive category. I just need to get used to this, jammed and lack of carpark etc.
We have to take the 3rd wave as we are late and couldn't make it to 7:30am session. In fact, we are late even for 7:40am wave. Fortunately the first wave was delayed and we arrived 3 mins before the race starts! Phew!
I started off with a decent pace, can't go fast as well as it is ery crowded. Feeling a bit of chuan.,,hmm.....what is happening? Did i open up too fast? Dunn leh...
It was laborious for me there onwards. I just don't feel comfortable.
My legs are okay despite the bike + run yesterday. Just the breathing is slightly harder. HR didn't went up high though.
For the past 2 days HR went high on his own. Yesterday during swim it did. I did take 1/2 piece of tablet(new medicine) from my recent visit to test out how it feel. Within 1 hour HR went down. The whole night + even today morning, i wasn't feeling comfortable though HR is low!
I saw a lot of familiar faces along the way. Didn't say hi much as i trying to concentrate to run till the next water stations. It was getting hot and i just want to finish and get over with.
Slowly and steady i finished the run in 1:35hr. I target 1:30hr. I guess the fitness isn't there anymore. Sigh.
It is a good race. Well done to the organiser. Much better than the past few races they had organised.
Time to take a good deserved rest.
