Back on Track
I was back at the pool this morning. After a day rest, don't know if the engine can still work or not? hehe.....
I took me almost 7 circuits to get the smooth feeling back. It seems i wasn't feeling super comfortable this morning. I guess not everyday is a good day...
Similarly 12 set of circuit and 2 laps of breast to finish off the swim in 63mins. A decent swim effort for my normal swim.
I heard someone is doing 55mins effortlessly for 2.5km..which is 8 mins faster than me...let see if the same(8mins gap) can be replicated in openwater come desaru event. Even 1 stroke finish in front of me is a failure IMO, given the "engine" capacity and fitness is different from individual to individual. We shall see.
This evening we are heading to Indoor stadium during CBD run.
The run towards Indoor stadium was abit laborious. I wasn't feeling relax, keep looking at HRM to monitor the progress...high 140s...maybe abit on 150 bpms at times. Nothing outstanding. Pace was decent, couldn't go any faster. Time check 45mins. Took a water break.
It was a much faster pace as i try to keep a viewable distance from behind on those runners that was on same pace as i am many moons ago. HR went up to 150+ easily. I tried to control my breathing and effort in the aim to maximum the output. I think the pace is good....it was close to 159bpm on the few occasion i care to read.
I was stopped at the traffic light and lost the momentum....it is okay, i need to be cautious and need the break. Reached the end in 41mins. A good effort. I think max HR is 164 bpm.
I manage to run at such high HR is good, no matter the pace i am going. Hopefully i can built from there.
It is nice to see Gentle once....recover well my friend...shall catch up on the run again!
