MR 20 - 22 Aug 09
Last week run was sort of hurting. Hurting in a sense, the calves still aches for the entire week. This morning finally it feel much better. It all reappear with interest this morning after the initial 3.5km! Fortunately it ends after 3.5km! :)
It was 6:57am when we started. Ba kwa, Too Bi, CCF, Tao, Too Kau, Zhu Er, Seo Too, Andy(Epalite's TNF partner) and myself started off from MR carpark.
It took me 25mins to reach the clear opening. We have to climb over the fallen tree in the process. The calves become really sng....ouch! OMG! At least i feel much comfortable compare to the last run here.
Andy seems to be getting pulled back by our pace. Only Lionel is able to match his pace. I hope he come with a waterbag next time. At least he gets to slow down to a more decent pace with us(most of us are with waterbag).
I was running comfortably under 140bpm and feeling good. No stress, but no speed. I just need to get more comfortable running at this moment and other things can wait. I am glad that today i handle the run pretty well.
Reached BTMBT which is around 9.3km. Feeling fine and in control. There seems to be alot of bikers and runners along Rifle Range road this morning. I understand they are from Tribob training group. There is a bike incident, biker fell by itself(assume) and ambulance are called.
Speaking to Ba Kwa: Paid, you have to run like those trainee. Free, you walk like us during training! What would you rather do?
Saw some of the MF SAFRA runners(not joining Bug's group) leads by PS. Asking for direction to Zheng Hua, apparently training for NF. Give her the direction and off they went. Meet up with PW along the same route(Rifle Range) as well.
Andy have went off on his own. Ba Kwa, Too Bi, Seo Too, Zhu Er and myself left the Ranger station on our own, while CCF waited for Tao and Too Kua. It was like OTOT from there onwards. Me being the last of the lot, trailing Zhu Er from a stone throw behind.
It was a bit of run/walk for me, but i think this time round, it wasn't that of a struggle. Just slow and easy pace, take a walk break before fatigue creep in and push on again.
Manage to last longer abit at the end and over take Zhu Er at the Zig-Zag bridge and ended the run in 2:38hrs(inclusive of all the breaks). According to watch 19.88km. Average HR is 136, max at 155...which is very good i can say...slow and comfortable effort.
A good run. Thanks folks.
