77 Session

It was 2:50am when the alarm rang. Woke up with the usual ache. Nuah abit and got up to prepare for the bike session.

Everyone has a demon within them. It is always the same one that accompany me when i woke up this morning again. I was much positively as i bike off at 3:25am as planned. Cool.

Legs seems to be aching and pace is snail pace, much slower than norm. Compare to last bike session, the feel is similar. Ignoring the signs and push on towards Casurina.

I didn't expect anyone to join me, just myself on the road in the early wee of the morning. Kind of cool i feel. WM did sms me that he is on the way when he started off from home. Though we have agreed to meet this morning, but when i received an sms in the early morning, i thought he is going to fly aeroplane like yesterday. :)

I reached Casurina at 3:59am. WM came 4:07am. We chat for a while before moving off towards LCK.

Despite the break, the pace has not increase. :( I must be pretty tired? Or lack of breakfast is the problem? WM bike along side most of the way as he is unsure of the route. Feel bad to pull him back. :(

I know this is not going to work. I need a break somewhere to regroup. Along LCK highway, i called for a technical halt. I ate a museli bar, chat with WM and take a 10mins break before heading off again. Hopefully the body feel better.

It was cooling along this path towards our next toilet break at kranji. When we have reached, I take the chance to go pai sai. I have been feeling the stress since LCK highway. Maybe after this the pace will improve.

Alas everything remains the same as we push on towards Mandai. Decide to head into Kranji Cemetery for a look. The last time i came in was like decades ago during NS period on an education tour. Couldn't recall much of it then.

Continue to bike on and stop for makan at Casarina. There isn't any point in putting more mileage when body is clearly not in condition unless a statement is required. WM is trying to built up and today mileage will be a good "kick start" for him.

Some people use how they feel as a gauge on how is the body adapting, some use HR based on a certain pace. As for myself i check on the km/hr based on "causal" effort. Today i am going at 2km slower than norm!

A good makan and a nice brea. We bid farewell and take our individual route back. Today i decide to go via the YCK. It was a good route.

Finally bike off at 8:49am.

Time: 3:49:58hr
Average: 20.2km/hr
