tuesday session
On this Tuesday morning, i head into the pool. It seems like more than couple of weeks that i last got into the pool. I need to be more discipline with the pool session. I ought to!
Water is slightly chilled which suit me well. In fact, at the end of the swim, i still feel the coolness which i really enjoyed. I hope i can afford to do more laps, but.....
For once, i pick up the wrong coin for the locker service. Therefore have to dump the bags in public. It is until the 8 sets that i remember i should swim on the look up for my belongings! There goes the joy of swimming with an unoccupied mind.
It was a bit out of syn at the beginning. Discomfort in breathing and have to endure being overtaken by 2-3 fast swimmers laps after laps didn’t auger well for the confidence.
Get into breast stroke heavy set for today to get engine moving. Slow and steady, trying to control and calm myself as i move forward.
Apart from the last lap which goes abit more on front crawl, the rest of the sets are trying to get the feeling back. Wasn't a bad swim this morning. 2km in 54mins. Still more rooms to improve. just need to get the momentum going at the least.
It was raining...couldn't be! For the years i have been to CBD run, there is no 2 weeks in succession that CBD run is cancelled due to weather. Arm with this believe i head over to CBD with intention to run.
The crowd gather and it seems that the rain are threatening a little bit, so fast hand/leg started off the run towards MF.
I started at the back and just couldn't catch up with the folks in front. I look at the pace(Garmin), slightly above 6min...wow..either i am going slow or i must be conscious.
It was a slow climb to the top. I am glad i manage to do it again non stop. Complete 1 loop at the top before taking a water break and slow walk down MF.
It is a pretty good pace on the way back. Tried to control the breathing and last the distance. It seems that PF keep wanting to revisit me, so have to be extra careful not to injure it. :(
11:77km in 1:29hr. Slack...but good enough to get body ready for the run in the weekend.
