Not To Continue
For a long period, i finally see pacer uncle at the morning swim. He nowadays swim about 50mins after the gate is open during morning swim. Today something is not right.
It is really not right. I don't want to continue the swim this morning. I am not feeling comfortable and it get very demoralising as time goes on and the swim is like still so long more to go. It wasn't a good day for swim.
I don't know if the HR or just mental that is causing the feeling. I really want to stop and rest. If not because time is running out and i need to get ready for the event, i would have head to shower and call it a day. One of those day, whereby i rather i go for breakfast from the start! Damn!
It took almost 1.5km to get the body into groove. A very long warming up to get myself ready IMO. Something isn't right.
Pacer uncle starts the swim slightly earlier than me about 1/2 a lap. By now, he has gain a lap on me. Age must have catch up for him as he starts to fade in the background and i started to gain the ground on him. At the end i am almost lapse him. :p
Wanted to stop at 2km initially when the going get tough. When the tide turns to my favour, i decide to go further. Steadily i manage to move up to 2.5k. With that i call it a day, though i can still proceed further.
66mins effort this morning. I still feel that i shouldn't continue the swim this morning.
I was at CBD in the evening. Don't know if the body is okay. Anyway, the only way to know is to put it to the test.
Up MF this evening. Started off slowly and get the body in motion. Soon, i am covering the rear of the troops. Slowing make the climb up MF, real slow and feeling good on the climb.
Proceed to do 1 loop. Don't want to take any risk and did a simple set will do.
Ba Jie asked me to bring that new runner back early. Wow that new gal seems to be fast runner with an US ascent. Speaking to her, she is from Ohio, NY and Hong Kong before coming to SIN. She is a Taiwanese. She has potential to go under 5min/km pace once she get the stamina in place.
I felt much better on the return path and start to increase the pace. It was a good run RTU. Alas even have to u-turn back and back track about 3-400 meters, since this blurpig lost our new runner!
Anyway found her walking as she has dehydrated and don't know the route.
Distance: close to 12km in 78mins.
Keep remind myself to keep it easy.
