Last long swim before D-Day. What should i do? Well...target to go 3.5km this morning.
Reached the pool early as it is going to be squeeze for time later.
Started at a pace, i am not comfortable and i think i went abit too fast for a long distance swim. Keep trying to stay calm and slow myself down.
Pacer uncle only starts like 10meters in front of me and after 2-3 sets i am on par go side by side with him. Also at the same time, my counting goes haywire. Damn! No choice but to go with the best judgement and hopefully make use of pacer uncle as gauge.
Uncle stop at 2.5km(typically), and i am on my 14th sets. Hmm..by then i am about 100 meters ahead of him. That means i should have count 100meters short. :o
Still proceed with my own count. It doesn't make a different. So find new target and push forward.
Finally stop at 3.5km(on my count). Still feeling good, which is a super + point. Things could be different given the circumstance at times. I was surprised to do 94mins on the watch. What! With the kind of effort and indications along the way, it shouldn't be that slow.
Anyway, good to have complete the swim and i hope to have a training swim kind of effort/timing for next week event.
