Friday - 19 March 10 (Pre event thoughts)

Ok, i chicken out of the run last evening. The noddle and weather sound so nice to stay at home and play with the little one. :p

Sometime i just have to tell myself to lower down the volume of workouts. "rest is to go further"...

For the entire week, the target is to do just enough to keep the engine warm up. Taper and get myself ready for the event next weekend.

I have been doing 1 workout per day so far and the body hasn't recover to the kind of expectation i have. Maybe i am not optimistic.

For the past few months, i realise my performance in training goes up/down. I am still trying to find the "pattern" it is swinging and gear myself properly to peak during next weekend. I can only trial and error and hope my strategy works. Sometime it can goes horribly wrong, which happens to me quite often during long distance event. No matter, the trainings are done and i couldn't get much worst than training pace, if ONLY HR don't go North.

As time edge closer to D-day, many random thoughts flooded as i hit the workout. Why? Why? Why? It is difficult to explains why. Life still moves on.

I was at the gym this morning for my bike workouts. Spent 50mins and have a good session. Legs are good and everything seems "ready". Just need to keep it steady. Things get most complicated when least expected. :(
