May Day!
I wasn't sure i can finish the intend distance. I will try and see how far i can go.
It was a hot day and the carpark at F2 is jammed packed. Took a while to find a parking slot.
3 of us started our journey on May Day 6:17pm. 25mins run/5mins walk strategy for today run.
Reached NSRCC on the first break. Somewhere nearby the traffic light along coastal route on 2nd break. 3rd break at the first toilet(slightly earlier than 25mins). 4th break at Changi point toilet. Waited for our supply vehicle, non coming. Sigh... Driver still at home...*faint*. Lucky we brought along coins!
5th break at the first toilet. 6th point(15mins later) when we stopped just before traffic light when our supply crew arrived. I wasn't in an appetite for food. Maybe tired, maybe just not feeling that comfortable. HRM seems abit haywire. Sigh.
Doubt start to come in on my fitness and can feel the stress on the right leg creeping up. How long can i last? Is a good question. At least i wanna do 30km on the run. If need to walk the rest, so be it.
7th stop at the exit on NSRCC road(slightly more than 25mins). 8th stop at F2. I make it back! Phew! But, leg seems to be getting worse. Should i stop or not. Still pondering amid the chit chatting and still unable to get myself to eat. I realise that HR is slightly higher than normal LSD, maybe that is the reason.
Let continue to run and see how it far i can go. At least i have reached my minimum run target today. I didn't get far. Before the food centre, the legs had enough. Sigh. Have to drag the other 2 back and start our road march.
The pace got faster than 9min/km. I am struggling to keep up and the legs seems to be getting worst. Sigh. This is not going to work. I don't think i can complete the distance, even by walking. Informed the other 2 to go ahead without me after B1.
I am on my own from B1 back to F2. I need to do this on my own. To get a feel how is it to walk efficiently with such a problem. I am not surprise i will be running with this "injure" for SD event.
Try i did. I couldn't get the pace under 10min/km.Slow and steady came back to F2. Distance: 42.2km, time: 6:27hr.
The other 2 complete 56km.
