DNF - 28 Sept

Today is one of the schedule longest run in preparation for TNF. I should be okay, given i have slack for a few days.

I don't know why, even though i have rested, but it seems that i am always feeling the ache here and there. Sigh.

We started off in excellent weather condition. I was feeling okay...but strangely the HRM showing something different.

When i reached BT visitor center(2km+), my HR is about 10bpms above my norm. I feeling good though. Strange.

As we climb up the slope towards the summit. Something strange again. I can feel my HR raised due to the steep climb, but the reading on HRM showing norm. This is weird.

Try to adjust the strap and realise that it has fallen to the tummy. Silly me. How come no feeling!

Put the strap in place and SHIT. HR has ballooned. Damn. No wonder i don't feel the usual zeal while climbing the steps.

Maybe it is just a passing phrase just like last time that happen during woodcutter trail. I have to slow down and keep calm for a few mins and see how it goes.

When did it started? Hmm...i don't know, maybe it happen since the start? By the time we finally descend to BT Pipeline, HR has recovered. Phew!

How much demand has been done?

As i slowly make my way towards Zhenghua, i realise it is going to be super tough to continue. HR though dropped, but the effort put in is rather higher than norm. I am continuing to go at a higher HR that norm even at this early stage of the run.

After much deliberation, i think it is prudent not to proceed. Don't want to force and ended up broken. :(

I bid farewell to the group and i take a walk back. Head up catchment path, visitor center and on the dunearn road back to NP. Saw Wee on BT, he is training for TNF solo.

Feeling pretty good, when i reached carpark. Little did i know it is the beginning of another long day ahead!

I was sms-ing to VH that i reached NP(safely), when he called me. TJT have sprain her foot and request for evacuation! No choice without even got my opportunity to bath and a drink, i am driving off towards Mandai.

It was quite a wait at Track 15 gate. Her condition seems pretty bad and she can't even walk properly thus ended up she came out sitting behind a big lorry! I wonder how she manage to climb up with 1 foot, plus reluctant to get VH to give him a push(from behind)! I know my lesson! Never carry the backside! It is heavy and smelly and not to mention might get a slap for NOTHING!

Tao and VH continue their run, whereas TJT and myself head back to NP for our bath before we continue to support the rest of runners.

We are at RRR one moment, MR the other moment, Shunfu market(Muffin anyone?), Shop N Save? RRR again. NP finally.

Felt the lunch is not something i would appreciate afer a long day. Pui!

A bad day...hope TJT will take her time to recover (understand she was casted after detecting a crack on her foot).....Ouch!
