A tough Week?
It started off with a simple appetites with a nice cycle in the gym. It is always good to start off with a good cardio exercise to kick start the day. Weights in the afternoon and swim in the evening. Tiwazz, IMD and SV were at the pool while we swam and catch up.
Tuesday have a stretching session in the morning. Body is abit ache after yesterday session. Slack lah... Anyway, in the evening there are going to be Mt kk training at Labrador Park. We have to do 5 loops of the hill which i reckon to be around 1.3-1.4 km per set. IMD will like to join us for training tonight, as he didnt do much hill training before. I pick up him around 6:35pm near Harbourfront and join the guys for training. I put on the knee guard and go for it. IMD was very fast, he came back around 35mins, whereas myself came bac k in 40mins. It was a good training.
Wednesday have another gym session in the morning. I slack and decided to do stretching again, as my legs are a bit tight. I skipped the lunch session as i intend to do stairclimbing in the evening with Timothy and sweetheart at Toa Payoh. The traffic was bad along PIE and i was late. I did 6 sets that is 240 stories. It was good workout and i didnt put on knee guard for the climb. Muscles are tighter after the climb though.
Thursday is the time trial for Mt kk training. Morning did weight training. A good workout in the morning. In the evening we did 10 sets of hill route at Labrador Park, similar to tuesday but twice as long. I am very conservative and did ok for the event as i am very concern about the injury worsening. I was about 30 secs slower per set from the start and was lapped twice by Sim(our faster runner). I finished in 1:25hr accordingly. A very good workout again. I couldnt remember when i last did so many hills training with a week.
Friday back in the morning gym and have a relax cardio workout on the cross trainer. I guess after a few days of working out, the body seems to be a little tight and require to get some movement onto the legs. Weights session in the afternoon. Have a break in the evening, as i planned to do LSD tomorrow morning.
Saturday have LSD on Kallang - Clark Quak route. Intially wanted to do Kallang-Marina-Clark Quak route, but changed my mind as i felt hungry before reaching Esplanade. The feeling of the abandon run a couple of weeks back at East Coast keeping flooding back. I have a normal preparation, food, drinks etc and how come i am feeling hungry just 20mins into the run. I wanted to search for 7-11, buy snickers(or similiar) have a few bites and try to continue with the run. My mind wasnt strong and maybe i am running on my own, i can do, run/quit/walk, whatever i like. I choose to run Clark Quay route first and see how it goes. Forunately the feeling subside and no longer have the urge to eat. Instead of running towards Marina after Clark Quay, i decided to do a total of 3 loops at Clark Quay and headed back to Kallang. It was a good run, as i feel strong and the pace was pretty good, i would say. Total i believe i did 28km for 2:52hr. I did put on my knee guard after completing 2 loops at Clark Quay. I can feel the ache is coming and have to act quick. Did have to take a pit stop to put on a bandage on the toe. Overall i feel good and very glad that i completed the run.
Sunday is a rest day.
I enjoy the quality workout this week. LIKE REAL....
