3 MF Run
It was the first time i did 2 sessions with MF(SAFRA). Tuesday, we have a 3km run to Telok Blangah Hill and did 6 sets of 1km on the loop at the hill. Heeshen, piglet and Zhi Wei follow me for the circuit training. It was a good trip.
Thursday we have an orientation run as the SAFRA team went over to Kent Ridge/NUS. It was a long run(suppose to be 16km, but i think more like 18-19km), some part is challenging as this is the first time i went up on the reverse route on some of the slope. It took me 2:05hr. It was a good run with Heeshen and Zhi Wei.
Saturday, suppose to be 30km+ run along Thursday route. Heeshen have another suggestion which follow one of the SAFRA 32km route. Everybody(Heeshen, Piglet, Too Tao, Ms Piggy, Too Hee, Wen Wei, Too Bee, Ronnie and myself) took off towards Queenstown shopping center.
I do not know why, but i actually forget to do my stretching before the run! After running about a few minutes, then i realised that. Along depot road, i feel my calfs tight, which i attribute it to not having proper stretching. I was still feeling ok when i reached Normation Park. I was running in the middle of the folks, which normally point to 1 direction - another OFF day looming! When we cross the overhead bridge across AYE, i can feel the tireness on the body. My guess is that we are around 5km and i am feeling tired! It is going to be a tough run ahead!
I run at the back with Joanna and Mei Fan and try to "recover" from it. We went up towards Kent Ridge towards the tank(Carpark B), before that i did 1 more set of the loop with Heeshen. Some of them do not do the loop. Some of us did at least 2 loops. Ronnie did 5 sets! We took a toilet break at the top before we headed down jogging towards Labrador Park.
We went up Labrador Park on the gentle slope and i couldn't manage to run all the way up! I was panting hard, i was tired. We came down on the other end, the front runners did 2 loop at the coast area, while i rest there to take a breather. We went up the steep end of the slope before head towards MF.
Ms piggy is feeling the pain in her knee and decided to walk back from Labrador Park to MF(clubhouse). Heeshen and Wenwei and later Ronnie went up MF via Kampung Bahru while the rest of us went up via Morse road. It was a hard climb, i couldn't climb up in 1 GO, have to walk apart of it. Went down with Piglet via shortcut to the Mosque and jog back to clubhouse. It took us 2:30hr for 20km(i feel). A long run for me, given the conditions.
We went over to Tiong Bahru Food Court for lunch, before we splitted.

I did the 5 loops at the Labrador Park waterfront lar & not at the Kent Ridge loop !
