BG Run - April

Today suppose to be my rest day. But......

BG - April is organise by Tiwazz. He is feeling weak after last week donation and might not be able to cover the distance or route which he has planned. I share his plight. I decided to go across to BG and see what i can assist.

On Wednesday at West Run, i have a discussion with Tiwazz and roughly know the 14.5km route. I should not get lost on the run, but can my body take it is another question, i am asking myself as well. No choice whack and let see how. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Managed to catch a short rest before leaving home at 6:30am and reach BG carpark at 6:50am. Tiwazz, Simon, Kelly and Kelly's gf, Reno, Brokenrunner and Petia. It was a small turnout this month because of the Qing Ming.

After chit chat and catching up, we start our run at 7:25am. Brokie, Simon and myself did the actual route, whereas Tiwazz leads the rest for a shorter. Brokie complains of ITB and request everyone not to run fast and no second guess, she leads most of the way! She even double back a few times as she don't know the route and do not wish to stop and wait. Simon is not into long run like most of us. He manage to tehan for quite a long distance at our pace is pretty good. If he is to put in more mileage, he should be doing pretty fine.

I have slowed down on various occasions to allow simon to catch up and we proceed to move forward. There is a few big ang moh houses along the route. It has very nice view. We managed to reach SMU track around 1:15hr. Simon decide to call it a day there, Brokie and myself proceed to do the 3km route up to the edge of the MR via the cemetery. It was a good run as we up the pace(5-5:30) and run shoulder to shoulder when traffic permit. I got pretty excited and leave Brokie behind during the climb up the slope after PIE to the edge of MR! Haha...sorry brokie. We did a good pace running back to the NIE stadium. Slowing down on the track to warm down. It was overall a good run and i glad i fair much better than expected.

We rest there for a period of time. Chit chatting and catching up before i head over for a bath. It seems like Reno spirit is very low - Not his usual self. I was informed since his injury he has been in this state. It is disheartening to see such a good young man to be in this state.

We went across to Adam road for breakfast and continue our catching up. As usual fun and laughter is bless with every sgrunners event.
