Blood
A warm morning. A hard swim. Maybe yesterday evening ate too much! Alas can't really move much in the water this morning. I didn't expect that to be the case this morning.
Did 5 sets of 200 meters. Give up! Try out breaststroke all the way with occasional freestyle. Maybe i kick too much, the legs are heavy throughout. Don't feel comfortable at all today! Pre - blood donation syndrome?
I keep telling myself have to complete 2km at the minimum. It is not those fast and swift days that count, those hard days(where everything doesn't seem to work) where you have to dig deep that count as equally important as well.
Slow and steady i finished 2.5km in 1:04hr. Phew! Glad that i make it.
Pacer uncle is back today, he went to Tibet via the railway! He is in turbo charge mode leh. or maybe i am in tortoise speed. :p
Reach Outram blood bank at 6pm as per schedule. Do not know why, the process like very slow. Maybe you are running against time, everything is slow.
I was one week early to my next appointment with the Dracula! When i log in on Sunday to book for my next appointment, i realise that the database did not have my records for June donation and thus my windows are "open"! I immediately book for the next available date, which is Tuesday.
Some of you have ask me why i choose Tuesday when i have a run coming up! To me, i have to maximum my effort for donation. A day early i donate, someone will get the blood early. At least that is what i feel. Furthermore, i exercise everyday(almost) so there is NO good day! No point loh, might as well take the earliest opportunity.
Thanks to some of your concern. I am aware of general rule that no workout immediately after blood donation. I am not crazy, i know my limit. I love to push my boundary a bit from time to time, likewise i also know when to pull back, when the situation require.
I left blood bank at 6:45pm and reach CBD at 6:55pm. We start our run at just 1-2mins after 7pm.
Tonight is MF route. I do not intend to do the full distance since i have just lost some blood. At least i will like to 1 set of MF loop. But of course will cut short when the needs require.
I started off with control pace towards MF. It is nice to catch up some new/old kaki. I find it pretty tough climbing MF, but nevertheless i preserve, though i do it slowly. I felt my throat was pretty dry during the climb which is strange to me. Rather err on the caution side, i walk up certain part of the slopes!
On the way back, i start feel the strain. I stop at key junctions waiting for others to catch up and i can feel a sudden giddy here and there. Things are not feeling good, so i take quite a few walk breaks, even though i do not need it at times.
I make it back around 1:50hr.
It was a good run and hope everyone enjoy it.
At home can feel giddy on a few occasions. Maybe the run just now accelerate the process.
Anyway, i am tired and going to Zzzz.....leow.
