Malacca Makansutra (14-09-07)
The idea ignited when someone (A fugitive) celebrate his birthday a few months back. A group of runners with eating disorder were discussing about their makan spree in KL early part of the year. And I wasn’t invited! Being the KPO, I asked if anyone is interested for a Malacca Makanstura? Well the rest, like it say was history!
Malacca has always been special for me. It is a place where I always have good food & with great accompany. So far, it has not disappointed me.
Meet up with the rest of the gang in the city and proceed to Malacca. A good mixture of oldies(CD), suaning, massage(cheapo) and light snack make the drive there enjoyable.
A good 3 hours+(10pm) later, we have reached our first makan station: Capitol Satay Celup. The food is wonderful. The thick peanut gravy taste so nice. No wonder it is highly recommended by lots of folk.
We checked in to the hotel before we headed immediately over to Jonker street for the tail end of the masam malam(Friday and weekends) bazaar. It was drizzling as we brave the weather searching for our bowl of chendol! We decide to settle for a shop as it has been a while since I traveled down this part of town and the shop have changed. It is always interesting to share the food so that we can sample more variety. We have 4 bowls of different favours. It was nice with the usual bantering going on…:p
Headed back to the hotel for an early night. It is going to be a longer day tomorrow! :p
