Night LSD
Haven't been doing LSD for..... i couldn't recall. Maybe 1 month ba! OMG, bu hui pa!
This coming weekend, i am not available for LSD again, so no choice but to do it on weekday. Fortunately Lionel face similar dilemma, so we decide to do the run tonight at ECP.
48 hours after BD and facing a 28km straight on. I was slightly concern that i can't make it! I haven't clock this kind of mileage previously after BD and with 2 days after BD, this might be too much! I do experienced before is that i definitely cannot do high intensity workout after BD! Star grazing definitely falls upon.
"Are we running a bit too fast? I feel abit too fast" K ( about a few hundreds meter after we start)
"Err...we are going at 7:40min pace" L
L deliberately slowed down. Thanks. I also paisei to slow down at this early stage with that kind of pace(consider fast)! Hahaha.....
My plan is to start slowly and run slow and last the distance.:p
We head towards SAFRA and turn right at Coastal Road and 4 km out towards Changi Point and back.
As usual we chat along the way, though most of the times we are in our own thoughts. The weather was occasional breezing, sometime still(dry). Saw a few Sgrunners, especially surprised to hear the scream of bo-gey and B.
This is my first time at Coastal Road on foot. We didn't run on the road since we managed to spot the new run track! We managed to be one of the first few(i think) to run on the tarmac that is recently laid for runners! The new road jogging track is nicely laid out. Apart from without lighting, bushes still need to clear by the side, some debris along the runway, it is a very good route to run on. When it is completed, it is going to be another favourite running route for most. Imagine LSD from Ford Road to Changi Point and back! Cool. Estimate 36km! To do shorter, start at F2 carpark and we are looking at 20km.
Along the way(first half), my right knee feel sng. I do not know whether it is the massage that cause it. It was not an issue until after the massage! It is like the massage have loosen and also weaken the muscle at the same time! I feel my knee injuries(various over the year) like returning! KNS! Well, we just have to learn from our trial and error don't we? Another classical case of what is good for others might not suit us?
I was very concern about the injure but have to push on. I have to take frequent walk breaks(4km or 2km) to allow some stretching.
The return leg of the run is always seem "shorter". We have our cold 100-plus to look forward to. In fact we took another can along the way to boost our morale during the last stretch. Hehe.
Have a small and comical accident! My backside was tear during the run! Ouch! :(
Slow and eventually we finished our super slow long distance of 28km in 3:42hr.(inclusive of everything).
I am glad that we bite the bullet and finished. The main concern is at what price did i pay? Hopefully it is just the price of a CWX! Finger crossed.
Had shrink wantan noddle for dinner! Tummy somehow just not in a mood for anything. Maybe it is reserving the space for sometime BIG this weekend...:)
