Tir-ing

Expended all the 3, 4 and 7 syllabus vocabulary i can muster, i just wanna sit by the kerb and cry.

Weather wasn't kind today(Saturday), nevertheless only weak mind that is playing tricks.

Start the bike around 5:30pm, intention is to do 6-7hr ride. I am still short of the bike mileage.

Feel pretty good on the bike this evening. Intend to do 3 x of 50km loops starting from ECP F2.

Maybe because no run this weekend yet, that is why the body feel good and the speed is faster as well(23km/hr).

First set flew pretty fast around 2:09hr. 2nd set 2:08hr. 3rd set DNF.

Start of the 3rd set feeling slightly tired, but can still tong the pace. On the last U-Turn at Changi Carpark 2. The rear tire puncture! Damn it! No choice stop at the bus stop and changed the tube! The change is pretty smooth, but i get my hands smear with grease as a result! Sian. Will remember to bring a glove in the bag next time!

Thinking back, i tihnk the tube might not have inserted properly, as the back wheel have constant strange sound and the the wheel seems abit bouncy! I have to stop on a few occasions to check the tire, pump air etc, but couldn't identify the problem.

Don't care leow, ignore the sound and press on. Due to the road condition, plus the bike, i lost control of the bike, and almost get myself throw off the bike! I manage to hold on, but the wheels rub the kerb and in quick successions the piss-ing sound of puncture filled the air. Ghosh, 2 tires punctured in 1 GO!

At that instant, i was amused, shocked, angry. The kind of feeling, you are helpless and have to resign to fate. Expended all the 3, 4 and 7 syllabus vocabulary i can muster, i just wanna sit by the kerb and cry.

This is the last loop and i just couldn't complete it. I thought i would do 150km(at least) today. Alas someone is stopping me deliberately! Why is it always the wheel problem? Why isn't a single spare tube is sufficient? Why it has to be a combination of tubes!

To make matter worse, it is just after midnight in coastal road(which do not have cab!). It is 10km away from carpark! Damn it! No choice, slowly push the bike all the way from Changi point to F2. Took me 2hrs+ of walking!

Total bike time is 5:55hr, walk time 2:15hr.

I do not know what to say! It has been a tir-ing day. Sigh.
