Raw

8 of August. 1 day before National Day.

Distance: 24km
Time: 6am
Venue: ECP B1
Route: B1 to green fence(coastal road)

Slight about 10mins after 6am, we started our run. 11 of us started the run this morning.

It was nice to catch up with Ba Kwa after all these months. Weather was good, just moving onwards with the flow. Abit uneasy with the run in the beginning, not really difficult though. HR was between 130-140bpms which is at a comfortable range.

After the first toilet break, i was feeling much better at ease. At the end of 2nd toilet break, i was feeling fresh and good. HR was at a decent range. Decide to proceed to hit green fence as per plan. There are some which take a shorter route.

5 of us proceed to green fence. Started to feel a bit tired keeping up with the pace. HR went up abit, expected range though. According to Ba Kwa's 405, the distance read 11:4km. So we are abit short.

On the way back, i was running with Francis while the 3 of them proceed a little distance ahead. Manage to catch the opening of the gate to the club(couldn't recall the name) to get water from vending machine. Cool....get myself a gases h20(isotonic drink), which is a bad choice of the day. Maybe i took 1 full can and ended up bloated and feeling difficult to run afterwards.

Continue the run to the next water point at seasport club. It was still manageable, but i know i am tiring out soon.

Ask the rest to OTOT. as i know i might need a long walk to the end. Even pass car key to CCF. I know i am tired, i just need to endure to see how far i can go.

I was like spent when i reach the seafood joints toilet. Time check 2:25hr.

The last stretch is tiring. I saw burnz, tao walking with CCF..hmm...just need to push on.

Did run/walk back to end point! On these stretch, i am feeling chest pain. A pain i have never experience before. Strange..what happens? At the end i realise, it is the HR strap that cut the skins till raw thus causing the pain.

It wasn't beautiful, but i make it back till the end. Time check 2:56hr for 23km. Wahaha...the most important thing is that i make it back alive!

Had a great time chit chat and makan after the run.

Thanks for organizing the run - I don't think I could have managed 23 km this weekend without the group support :)
