swim + swim
morning
Abit of ache is experienced this morning. Not unexpected after yesterday session. Nevertheless still head to the pool this morning.
It was rather pack this morning at the pool as the swim class occupied a lane. Felt the tightness on the Rectus Femoris area while doing breast stroke. Take it slowly as trying to get the muscle warm up.
It didn’t get any easier as I slowly count the lap. Slightly less than 1km, I felt the chuan feeling. Damn…stop at 1km and check the HR. It did go up.
Rest for a while then decide to slow move onwards. Need to learn how to swim with “unfavorable” condition. It get slower and slower…take a break here and there and stopped at 1.5km. First 1km is 26:28mins though.
At least I finished 1.5km swim this morning.
noon
HR didn't drop. Sigh. Still head back to the water with my colleagues.
Just before i jump in for the 2nd time of the day, take a look at the watch. HR didn't go down yet. Sigh. Tell myself nevermind, just take it easy. I have to learn to live with it anyway.
Started slowly, didn't have that much moving into the gear like this morning. Anyway this afternoon is about working on the drills.
So did some laps of this and that. Drink alot of water. It has been a long time since i did drills. Wahaha. Okay lah, just part and parcel of relearning and get myself comfortable again with the stroke and breathing.
Did a few stops along the way, but generally just moving along nicely. Didn't push, i can't anyway with my condition, just move along with a bit of chuan. Can't be comfortable when you are doing drills and get to awkward "stunts" most of the time while doing it! So i think i did okay.
I stopped after 40mins. Think manage to get decent distance + a good drink as well...
A good double swim today.
