Regroup

I woke up feeling aching! Ouch! Am i sick?

Did a quick self test of the body, throat is dry and body is aching from the workouts for the past few days. I should be resting today!

Took a few steps and walk around the house and realise that my legs are still okay. :)

Reached F2 about 5mins before 5am. My timing is bad, i should give more allowance next time.

11 of us started the run around 5:07am. It was a cool morning to start our run.

The few in front move pretty fast ahead, the rest runs together in a bunch. Soon before NSRCC i am running alone in the back while the folks in front going further ahead. Except for the 2 slacking too nowhere to be seem behind.

My breathing is okay, HR is fine, just the pace...am i really that slow today? Or they are moving at a faster pace. Looking at the Garmin, hmm...i am doing alright...they must be moving faster. Phew, that is a relieved.

Running in a group, i can see how far i am lagging behind. I think i am controlling my pace and my HR abit too much...too restrictive. I should just let it GO.....

I am on my own going at a steady pace and eventually reached the U-turn point. Hmm...around 1:25hr. Took a toilet break and head back with the rest.

Soon i am alone at the back again. Saw a few familiar faces along the route which indicates the sun is coming out soon.

Another pitt stop at NSRCC and get a cold isotonic drink! Cool...$1 for the can is good price!

Though pace is slow, but i am feeling good generally except for the right knee that is showing signs of aching.

Decide not to push on after F2. Body still feels okay, but felt slow(because everyone else is running much faster than i am!). Maybe the workouts for the past couple of days have taken its toll.

Time to rest when it is due, especially so with the guys happily stopped at F2. :( {psst: there will be no option to run shorter next time}

Distance: 23km
Time: 3:04hr

After a few weeks after NF event, it is good to have everyone back for the saturday run
